In this case it does. Because there are three conftown, it limits the number of people who are scum.

From your POV:

- Shiro is jester
- Vaxkiller is town
- You are town
- WC is scum

Me, Sapphi and Var-Var are town. So let's think about your logic for a second. By your logic, there is only one scum - WC - which is impossible cos the games usually contain 2 or more scum. So who is the second scum?

Just because he was roleblocked doesn't make you two innocent. For all we know, you are the roleblocker who roleblocked him so you can make this argument and gain towncred. That also could explain why there was no kill last night: you couldn't kill and use an action on the same night.

Also WHY would I roleblock my scum partner? And how exactly would I get towncred from doing so? What could possibly make that a better choice than just killing someone?

THEORETICALLY, Jae and Varsity Bassoon COULD be partners instead of masons.

I don't believe that to be the case because I've seen nothing to indicate it being so, and I townread them both on their own merits anyway, but I can understand Vax's position since he replaced straight into MyLo. Paranoia about slots being "off the table" seems reasonable. Which actually brings up an important question...
