I'm in agreement on Creature's read on acid looking bad as a matter of timing.

As for my own opinions on the claim strategy, my understanding is that it heavily unbalances the game in favor of the town and for that reason is often not used. That said, it does advance town's wincon significantly and thus I support it from a purely objective standpoint. I believe I'm correct in assuming that the decision on if we use it or not needs to be near unanimous, though (TL;DR I support using it). Chuck also brings up a good point with how we should set a deadline for the discussion on it. (Of course, it shouldn't be the

only

thing we discuss during that time.)

Raya's my first townlean similar to why Chuck has a townlean on acid; I like how his posts are making an effort to spark discussion. Acid's joke push is in my opinion NAI.

What were the reasons for your townreads by the way, Creature?

I'm not sure if Assemblerotows 100% understands the claim strategy. The idea is that one person, the actual bulletproof if there is one, claims it and becomes clear. If we hypo-claimed bulletproof it hinders the town more than it does scum in my opinion, as scum still has a high chance to not hit the actual bulletproof while town gets no closer to figuring out the setup and town PRs get no closer to figuring out what sort of strategies are available to them (i.e. Follow the Tracker).

Personally, I found some of acid's early play to be abrasive in such a way that I read as trying to generate a response from others in order to generate some content. I also thought his early 'push' on fenrir could possibly pick up on anyone overly keen to jump on board. So he did a couple of things i thought were potentially aimed at being helpful to town. Just my interpretation so far.

you are townreading acid for being abrasive and generating discussion. That doesn't seem right.

Iif you are town, you shouldn't be reading me and acid differently for doing the same thing.
