I have a few problems with Vexen. I do think that you have a point that his attacks look slimy. I think his exchange with you (what little I've read of it, I get bored trying to make sense of it) seems like he's more interested in educating you on how to behave properly and talk about how much he likes Thor and how you're not him - not sure how that's supposed to be him reading you.
