MOBTOWN – A Mobtown deli shpkeeper has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for selling drugs out of her shop.

Eunie "Yum" Sang was convicted last month of selling a controlled substance and weapons possession. She was sentenced Tuesday by Mobtown Supreme Court Justice Daryl Bois.

Authorities say she sold the drugs from Yum-Yum Deli & Grocery at 85-56 118th Street in downtown.

Mobtown District Attorney Wichard Dobins said the 37-year-old defendant used her mom-and-pop deli grocery store as a front to traffic in cocaine.

“Her arrest, conviction and now sentencing represents a clear demonstration of my office’s commitment to rid our country of illegal cocaine trafficking and to improve the quality of life of our Mobtown residents,” Dobins said. “The lengthy sentence imposed today by the court is more than warranted.”

Sang was the subject of a four-year investigation that started with one of her buyers getting stopped by police, according to Mobtown DA. They searched him and recovered a plastic bag from his pockets containing a bag of cocaine.

Over the course of the next couple years, Sang was overheard engaging cocaine-related conversations on his phone, investigators said.
