Townie claim in a mountainous is crazy? Do you find it hilarious everytime someone claims townie? Because townies are in every game, and like claiming one in a mountainous is about the same as claiming one in an other ordinary game.

Not true. Claiming townie in a normal game actually has some effect. In a mountainous game, a townie claim doesn't mean anything, and the fact that Greasy Spot thought because he claimed townie, a) it would clear him b) 'the mafia will now know i'm a townie' AND C) that that information would make him a more likely NK target, is just laughable.

Nominate Peers for "Informant".

Reason: When Peers claimed Mafia and Tarhalindur claimed wolf on Day 4 of Mafia 69 I was sure they would both be lynched on consecutive days.
That's not what happened. There were no crosskills in the game, so town decided to allow Peers to live and everytime a mafia nightkill failed he would point the target and it would reveal a probable werewolf.
It worked. The wolves were all found and killed and Peers, who CLAIMED MAFIA ON DAY 4, GOT LYNCHED ONLY ON DAY 8!
Someone claim Mafia is rare enough to be seen, let alone claim and still live for four days.

I'd rather see him get the Scummie for Best Manipulator/Oscar (Mafia) than a title for this, so consider this a nomination.

taken some liberties in organizing the awards, and I'm not recording fourths/fifths/eighty-sevenths except in extraordinary circumstances 9such as the argument over Newbie 520).

I think it would be best if Best Performance ("Oscar") went to a group effort, now that we have both the Paragon of Mafia Hunters and Don Corleone awards (plus Best SK). So far, I've organized nominations that way, to avoid too much repetition...

I disagree completely. Best Performance and Paragon/Don C are completely different to me. Best Performance equate to a flash a brilliance for one game. The other two equate to a good year.

Okay, fair enough, and I can reorganize things if that's the general sentiment (I'm pretty sure it was the original sentiment behind Paragon, anyway).

...but the

facts on the ground

are that people tend to get nominated for one game

and one game only

. Which tends to make the Oscar and Paragon/Corleone awards, as previously given, fairly redundant. And it makes it awfully difficult to compare the performance of "The Town of Mini XXX" with "ABR in Mafia YY". And that doesn't even get into how to award the Oscar for Best Newbie, which was a first-time award last year (there was also a Best New Player)

What about:

• Best Performance by a Team
  (one awarded, to a Town or Mafia, as a group)
  
• Best Performance by an Individual (Pro-Town)
  (individual game)
  
• Best Performance by an Individual (Scum)
  (could fold SK into this, but for an individual game)
  
• Paragon of Mafia Hunters
  (individual, must be at least three games)
  
• Most Cunning Manipulator
  (individual, must be at least two games)

There are definitely differences between games where one person dominates the game, and games where an entire team gels and works together amazingly well.

I would leave that entirely up to the Nominators and Judges... I don't think we should try to define who

I could kind of see honoring the worst plan that a town was generally in agreement about though they should have known better. I can't think of any though.
