It seems to be working. The area illuminated by the flickering lights seem to only be visible if the area is in the character's line of sight, which seems to be how it is intended to function.

It would allow for us to discover the town little by little, but I don't know what purpose that would achieve unless you want us to explore every square on your non-combat maps.
Hmmm... I was going for the "realistic town feel" approach, but yeah now that you mention it, it does sound pretty annoying having to explore every square on the map.
I think knowing where the NPC's are will help us move things along more quickly. Moving square by square seems like it will unnecessarily eat up session time.
Please let me know what you guys would like to do with Miramane now that you guys successfully escaped the Cassius's Prison.
Also, let me know if there are any questions you have for Allea, Mirajen, or Miramane you would like to ask before you guys reach Brackendeep and we begin Act 7.
I can give more answers that are directly campaign relevant now that Act 7 is mostly written.
So I accidentally got my hands on all the old supplement PDF's by Midkemia Press from 1980's whilst browsing their website (it's old, ended up bugging and giving me them all for free), so if anyone wants them I can share them to you.
What does everyone else want to do with Miramane? She's evil and probably not going to accept an atonement.
Our options:
Murder her
Free her
Keep her in a bag for the entire act (Waste of space)
Enslave her with lesser Geas (Questionable reliability)
banned
Keep her in the bag until I reach L9 then enslave her with Dominate Person (Would require a spell slot, or possibly several depending on how high her will save is)

In-character, Grimwire shares the information which Miramane told him with the rest of the party. (Doesn't say it came from Miramane though, she asked me not to tell anyone that it came from her. Implies it came from a knowledge check)
The information:
Pelor (That super evil deity associated with The Burning Hate), was pissed about the order to leave civilians behind when the events of this post happened. Orthrax and his men had the evil extraplanar entity protecting them from Pelor's wrath, the only person Pelor could take his anger out on was the governor, who could have vetoed the order but didn't. Pelor cursed the governor and his family by taking away their afterlife, as soon as they die their souls will be obliterated. Allea is a member of that family, if Allea dies she cannot be resurrected.

We have shittons of money, everyone say what you want.
Conman, when do you get back?
If Conman gets back soon we are broke due to dumping all our money on Conman. If Conman does not get back soon, we have shittons of money now and can buy Conman's weapon with what we find during the campaign.

hey guys, due to a bunch of life stuff happening, I think that fairly soon I'm not going to be available on weekends for about a year, maybe more.
Ideally we'd be able to move it to a weeknight, but if it doesn't work out then I'm okay with that. I'll come back when I can (if we're still playing then).
This is also a long shot, but I might be able to make it work if we could end when we currently start or start when/after we currently end. But I realize that's probably not going to work with other people's schedules.
