I don't see that tho, as i was feeling back then i wasnt paying attention to the thread nor doing anything to try to solve, couldnt be arsed to focus on the game at all unlike before when even when sleeping i was thinking of it. Reg buddying me hardcore sure helped, but i was coming around on him until i hit that deep point before and couldnt even focus, should've just lynched LLD D4 as i had planned when i was planning to 1v1 then, but oh well regreting it now wont change the outcome anyway.

You had 2 masons, the ability to control targets for every dream, the ability to outvote scum on every dream, and if that fails, the one shot ability to reverse the votes for a dream to hopefully get a good one.

The dreams probably had a decent amount of power, it just all got lost a bit.

btw math, if a dream had made lovers, your power would have chosen 1 but not both, i had already asked before about non global multitargets.

Loved the theme and flavour and that you guys took the time to write thematic bits throughout. Don't like nebulous setup/theme connections that require interpreting vague things correctly and I have my doubts about balance.

Lots in this game unfortunately that reminded me why I stopped enjoying mafia on this site.

I will say we expected town to do anything other than totally ignore the dream votes mechanic, and we expected more solving would be directed to them, where either the picture, name, or both pretty much hinted at what it would do for the majority.

Like, I wanted to lynch TWIE day 5, and it was the right move, and I stand by it, even with the extra vote needed. And people wanted to rely on the dream and regfan and tWIE basically buddied cephrir into doing it.

I think town basically got demotivated with the dreams after the first three nights basically had nothing affected by them.

I would like to say that my replace out was in no way due to other people. I reached my limit of my ability to play/tolerate playing mafia and it was not a decision I made lightly.

hebi, between you and reg, reg was showing effort and lots of POVs, you were doing shit, I went back and forth on him but eventually went with a townlean and just had to go with it and you were showing me nothing else to outweight that

was right all along LLD was using you and you couldn't see it, I think reg might have come around to being exposed if we'd gotten LLD out of the way but yeah, no hard feelings about it or anything, just, GAH

LLD was the most obvious scum I've ever seen except ppl I can soul read

Totally not.
I was entirely dissapointed that i couldnt ever figure out what every dream would do, like most of the stuff that we saw "A random dream receptive player will receive a 1-shot ability" "The next day's gamestate will be affected", like how the hell were we even supposed to figure things out, maybe the watcher is the only one i saw as obvious, but the dream title "the innocent" was making me rethink that.

While the dream mechanic was pretty awesome in paper, in actuality it felt more like randomness, and my role ended up hurting town more than not, since everyone i targeted died so any dreams we got, got lost anyway.

LLD was the only one listening to me, I was calling reg and TWIE scum for days and everyone was so focused on everything else I got demotivated.

Maybe i would've been better off dead early on so that all dreams were RNG, or just not choosing a target although idk if i was allowed to not target.

P-Edit: Yeah i started seeing Reg scum on the day prior to my replace out and he was like "Please dont get paranoid", but i didnt end up going anywhere with it because... i dont even remember what happened back then. I did everything in my power for scum to shoot me up until day 3, then i just went, WELL FUCK IT, IF SCUM ISNT SHOOTING ME IM WRONG SOMEWHERE.

great flavor, absolutely, thank you very much cabd/fferyllt, I'm glad I played, but yeah the mechanics didn't grab me, to me I was just VT again (blah) with a slim chance at receiving an ability, and when I'm VT I focus much less on the mechanics and just scum hunt, and figuring out the dreams seemed mostly futile so it was a "eh whatever" not much thought, I like more power than less in my games though so I'm biased that way, not to help gamesolve, but just ot have more pieces to interpret

think innocent should have been innocent applied like I said, maybe better balance that way, mason lovers is a rough loss so early

Regardless I do wonder how Reg was like after i claimed since he gave me protection, i mean he'd just have to shoot whoever i'd likely target, my TR on brian was in no way influenced by his, even tho that was probably what he was going for, i should've just targeted smith that day as i originally planned instead of switching coz of paranoia.

Not many. Reg giving it to you by chance REALLY paid off, there was a pretty big debate in the scum PT night one on how to use it.
