I might as well be a cop because anyone who comes up not vanilla except UCV is going to be scum. My point was that there was nothing you could have got out of that by bringing attention to it in order to further a town agenda e.g. sorted people from it. It's much more likely that scum would be interested in that. The opposite is also true, Vanders disinterest in helping the hypoclaim because he didn't see the use of it (in direct contridiction to his D1 stance) seems more likely to come from scum.

Necro's apathy is an AtE but I can't figure out if it's fake or not. Morality hasn't proven himself any more town than D1 to me.

No, I said on D1 that vanilla cop is more useful if you don't telegraph your results immediately and I started thinking it wasn't useful.

I'm on the right track, this whole fiasco has proved that to me. You might as well lynch me because I'm death tunneling Morality. If town thinks he's town then get rid of me because I'm only going to get in the way of any other wagons and try to bring it back here.

These statements are a little weird for me, as why say this kind of thing if you are a PR.

However, it doesn’t make sense to claim Vanilla Cop as scum right there, as you would eventually be going 1v1.

Then I thought of the potential you claiming Vanilla Cop as VT, hoping the actual Vanilla Cop realizes this.

However, you could have done that as scum.

I’m generally thinking you wouldn’t be so bold as to do that, so I’m going to assume you are VT claiming Vanilla Cop to take the night kill.

However, now scum is going to take that into consideration and might not kill you, so if you are the Vanilla Cop, you’re safe. Hopefully you figure out what I mean here.

Also he still hasn't given thoughts on Morality vs Vanders which he said he would look into twice. How hard is it to read a page and give thoughts?

I’m not seeing it. It reads more like confusion with a hint of frustration out of not understanding the point of hypo claiming. I can see town getting upset there being how it’s critical time here.

3 people have tried to disprove my claim which I believe is anti-town and thus more likely scum motivated. Chip, Wave and Morality.

I don’t know what to make of that honestly but I doubt all 3 scum would do that. I can’t speak for Chip and Wave but Boon is experienced enough to know that scum don’t fake claim in an Open setup unless they can ensure the win. His analyzing of your claim seems like an attempt to create unnecessary wine in front of me.

I'm at a point where my work project-stretch was extended to include this week too, so after my one day-off on friday I was working through most of weekend..
It's getting better every day now though.

About this day, Day 2 of the game to be exact..I'm a bit annoyed with my own activity, but also how this game has been coordinated by the more vocal players.
I dislike the read on Necro as scum, but once again, I could be wrong.
Then again his latest posts imply that he has sort of given up, so I don't see the value in "sparing" him either. And since I suck at reading tone, it could be just him trying to convey towny-emotions of disappointment and indifference.
I keep saying I dislike Cheeky+Rhah interactions, they feel like a team over anything else. Just something I picked up on very early, and haven't been able to shake since.
Cheekys claim clears her, so I'm going to say there's something that pings me about Rhah's actions then.
(I would otherwise assume Cheeky has an inno on Rhah and trusts him because of that, but since there is one vanilla goon out there, I doubt she'd take that as a "clear")

Morality either went too far with questioning Cheekys claim (and tried to backpedal later?), or he actually was trying to WIFOM her claim for scum.
Chip is either very paranoid town or scum because of how he took Cheekys claim.
Wavemode likes to vote me - I don't mind. Him and LUV are blank spaces to me, and could be any combination of S/T.

A few things:
1) This is done in a steam of consciousness style. I may change my mind on someone (or something) midway through my analysis. This is mainly because I'm trying to catch up on 50+ pages of thread.

What are everyone's thoughts on hypo-vanilla cop claiming?

Spoiler: For those not knowing what hypo-cop is

On day 2 and onwards (until the vanilla cop role is claimed or killed), every player posts a result as if they were the vanilla cop; the actual vanilla cop tells the truth and everyone else makes up a result. It does possibly give scum more info on who isn't the vanilla cop (if someone claims an incorrect result on one of them, for example), but it guarantees that we have all of the investigations as public knowledge while allowing them not to claim and draw a NK.

I hate this. Might be old school of me, but-

This gives the mafia so much more information that it does town. The mafia already knows who the scum is, and by this hypo-vanilla cop claim, they can piece by peace whittle down who the actual cop is by reading results.

You may say that the actual cop could lie about a result, but then I would push to lynch all liars. This systematically outs the cop without having to out the cop. bad bad bad.

imagine we did lynch her right off the bat like that and she flipped scum. that would be super lucky

I think this entire interaction is incredibly suspect. VOTE: Necro. I especially dislike the the quoted imagine froyagerom UCV, but the Necro post makes me want to throw up a little because it feels like there's some sort of additional knowledge there. I am blissfully unaware as to if the game started at night or day, but I wouldn't understand how any of the UCV interactions makes you feel like that person is likely town.
