I'll use tier lists near the start of a new expansion to get a general idea of which classes won/lost in the most recent expansion, but for card picking I don't.

I guess what gets me about it is that I feel things are out of my control.

For example, I just lost a game where we got into top deck mode. My opponent was at 5 and I was at 27. I was looking for Baron or Firelands portal or Fireball with my last 9 cards. Instead, we trade pretty much 1 for 1 on cards, I use a polymorph a little early because his next draw was a murloc serpent thingy. I lost with 4 cards left in deck finally drawing firelands but he had already managed to gain life 2 turns before. The tipping point was he played Elise and then drew the pack next draw.

The game has so many moments like this where I need the RNG to go in my favor and it doesn't therefor another loss.

Hey, I've been playing HS since around August
I'm F2P so I've tried using budget versions of meta decks, so a lot of my decks are inefficient. I hate warlock, but that's the class where I have the most golden cards (but don't have dupes for). Do you guys think it's still worth to disenchant? I mostly use elemental mage (only for quests now - I gave up around early October. I didn't have Jaina ... which made the deck substantially weaker, and it's already tier 3 at best), and budget versions of evolve shaman, murloc paladin, and aggro Druid. Do you guys mind if I post decklists and ask for areas where I can sub in cards?

The fact that it doesn't lose durability is pretty cool too. But that really hurts mage's weapon Bc 4 cards drawn per turn (3 from the wep) will bring fatigue quite quickly

Ok. In general, please don't suggest adding legendaries. I probably won't be able to get any for a while unless I dust a lot of my collection (therefore don't suggest adding pirate package either, bc imo it's not worth using em without patches)

Overall, it's pretty good. My biggest struggle is dealing with big taunts/regaining the board/topdecks. I added Chain Gang for more tokens for stuff like power of the wild/savage roar/mark of the lotus. I don't have bitter tide hydra/a second Living Mana. I could scrape together enough dust for another epic if I disenchant a golden defile, golden unwilling sacrifice, golden shadow flame, and treachery. Vicious Fledgling seems redundant IMO bc I already need to be dominating the board/going face. Open to suggestions of a replacement. Also unsure over the addition of innervate, chain gang, and 2 penguins. Thanks in advance for any tips!

The lots of 1x is cause I didn't want to spend too much dust xD. The Hammer of Wrath was included bc it's very flexible. It can serve as a finishing touch if my board is wiped and the opponent is low on HP, as card draw, and even as a way to maintain board control. The Venture.Co is something that I've been debating with myself. It serves as a big threat for my opponent, but also as a loss of tempo for me. Ideally, I have a developed board by now, and cards like TrueSilver/Hammer/Spikeridge are in my hand to burn my opponent down. But when that isn't the case, Venture seems like a big downside. Should I disenchant it and get the dust for another Spikeridged Speed? Also unsure over bluegill and smuggler's run.


These two decks are the ones I use the most. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance ^_^


EDIT: I got antsy and crafted Bittertide Hydra by disenchanting the aforementioned Warlock cards XD. Added that in for the vicious fledgling. Should I replace Venture Co with it in my murloc deck?

Do you have c'thun and its support cards? At the power level your Druid deck is at you might consider adding c'thun package and the big c'thun Druid taunts and turn it into a midrange deck rather than aggro.

You get it free for buying one old gods pack. It's not going to get you to legend or anything but you might like it better than smorc Druid, and you might have all the parts already if you've bought any old gods packs since most of the package is common or rare

Nope I opened like 2 WOTOG packs. I've already pushed to rank 15. Is the lack of the pirates + second living mana that vital?

I'm going to start investing my gold into the older sets for the guaranteed legendary within the first 10 packs. I'm just hesitant to make a deck based off a set that's going to be rotated very soon. I'm not interested in playing wild because I don't have a big collection

I keep writing suggestions and erasing them because all of them involve changing the theme of the deck to jade or midrange-control.. I only play control so my advice on aggro decks will be subpar. Someone else will be able to help you though

Ah. My only semi-control deck is elemental mage ;-;
as a control player, do you usually pack in doomsayer?

Doomsayer is good in proactive control decks like hand lock and elemental Mage but not so good in reactive control decks like razakus and n'zothadin

If you have it I'd put it in your elemental Mage.

What death knight(s) do you have?

Dusted em both off. In hindsight, shouldn't have dusted Gul'dan as I could've run some interesting decks with it, and Valeera was useless bc I needed a lot more cards for miracle rouge

Regarding Doomsayer, I was just wondering bc a lot of aggro druid decks seem to run Crazed Alchemist to kill off Doomsayers. I am not sure if it's worth running it. From what I've played, it works (killed 1 doomsayer with it/swapped my crypt lord for burst damage), but was wondering if there was a more efficient card to replace it since doomsayer isn't played as much anymore
