Pre-Flip is not acceptable, here's why:In post 1072, Apple Jack wrote:We’ve covered pre-flip pushing is acceptable as long as you re-evaluate. I consider those things Anti-Town.
Not being cc’d doesn’t mean somebody is clear. He still isn’t technically clear. When a player blatantly refuses to do things when asks as Thor did, that’s suspicious as fuck and so I pushed it. He’s also playing anti-town and if this was a completely closed setup I’d still be pushing his lynch.
Now we look at scummy play. Refusing to give reads which game did earlier in mylo is essentially a scum claim. Lurking and being useless is also.
If he’s town he’s lost us the game. That’s why I don’t think he is.
When you do Pre-Flip, the cognitive bias that Town has for tying two players together is outweighed by the degree that it is inaccurate. That is why Scum can use Pre-Flip to push things without even having to worry about people pushing them back for doing poor Pre-Flip, because in the back of everyone's heads, they know Pre-Flip is basically a crapshoot, but when they see the initial Pre-Flip someone says, they contemplate it and give it more weight than it deserves.
And we have been over the claim thing, this is a Semi-Open setup, which means unless you are severely mentally challenged, you are going to know to CC someone who claims something you can counter.
