After searching his body they find gun. As one of the town-members holds it up for everyone to see Silence suddenly grabs it.

falls to the ground and the town watch on in shock and sadness, as they know nothing can be done now about these two doomed lovers.

The town wakes up cheerfully, after their successful lynching the night before, but suddenly a lady's scream is heard, and the mood darkens.

They run outside to find a crying woman pointing at

body, propped up in the middle of the road. His chest has a scalpel sticking out of it and a note pinned underneath:

"It's not over yet!

The town look at each other warily; they know their doc is gone and there shall be no more protection from now on...

"I did the maths, you see, and I think that if we lynch me now then there's a greater chance of us winning...or something...it's a bit cloudy now." He stroked his jaw as if trying to remember.

The town didn't waste any time waiting to listen to the reasoning though - one solid whack with a hammer and the job was done.

The town wake up fearing the worst and with good reason. Hanging from a light post near the main center is

. His hands are bound behind his back and his neck is broken from where the rope snapped taut.

The town shake their heads, a few sobs are heard. One town member shakingly steps forward.
"No" he whispers. "Not like this."

He turns around, holding a knife in his hands.
"I can't go on without him!" He yells, plunging the knife into his chest.

As the town watch the pool of blood expand around

corpse, they realize no one even tried to stop him...

Kravhen didn't respond.

"Let's just talk about this for a second" Farside exclaimed.
Coron grumbled.

Kravhen still didn't respond.

"On second thoughts your probably right." Farside turned to Coron and the two moved in.

As the blood trickled between the gaps in the floor-boards the two survivors knew they had work to do to restore life and love to this battered town. But they would be able to do so filled with optimism and hope, assured by the knowledge that all that threatened their peaceful way of life were now gone.
