I’m not playing semantics and I’m not being obtuse. You either can’t or refuse point to me where in Marquis’ statement contains an idea or a plan for action. So along with posts that followed shortly after, I’m inclined to think you’re just scum. I don’t see any town motivation for attributing an action that wasn’t there. I don’t know why others did so but there are only so many scum in this setup.

The last time I actually remember playing with Marquis was 180 where you and I were scum together. Which I don't remember that much of him there tbh.

I'm more attributing it not to Marquis personally, but instead as "any player who pushes something that makes no sense at all this hard is probably scum".

Why would town take a liking to an idea that wasn’t explained in-depth? If the answer is that they were already thinking the same thing, why did it take Marquis stating it for them to act?

well now we're getting somewhere. assuming both are town (i have reservations about Cheet), i think the answer is "why not"? it was page 2 and i was reading your entrance to be mildly scummy, too. enough for a push, at least.
and then Marquis brings up "i scumread LUV" and the thought goes through the heads of other players so they also think about forming an opinion on you.
it's just not very scummy or conclusive and i still want to townread you for focusing on it at the expense of all else, but i'd rather you instead did anything else.
