I would have been a commuter if we'd gone with setup A.
Being in setup B suggests a lot of people here have preferences for scum roles. I feel like revealing choices for that setup is a good idea, especially who picked scum in the first game.
Btw I can understand someone not wanting to be a lover. It is wrong to Chuck cop though. Also there is even werewolf and mafia cards, so it's actually interesting there is no alien or cult discards.
Last time I was in a greatest idea we had a rejected setup bc too much scum and then had a super townsided setup. General theory and the way I do it is whatever I feel is the strongest role. I was mafia cop setup a, (but I also got three scum cards), setup c I was cult something idr.

It says in op it would be randomised among valid setups. All three could have been fine.
why did you repeat what i already said?
Because cupid is a very strong scum role, but horrible town role. In GestI, you only get the role or the alignment, not both. GI you get both. As-is, it's NAI.

My setup A choice was a serial killer. Does that count?

I don't know your definition of "strongest," for the only thing that's strongest that I have is my avatar.
Anyway, cop-like roles are not as effective in idea setups, since there are not-so-low chance of having multiple alignments in this game. Mafia, Werewolf, Goo, Alien, Serial killer, survivor, etc.
diamondsentinal quite clearly took back the comment about espeon's discard being scummy in his
very next
post. given that you obviously took the time to check what espeon's discard was and also responded to posts later on in the thread, i can only assume that you noticed this and yet still chose to keep it in your post. i don't see why you would do that except to try to look town / to look busy.

Wholeheartedly agree. I was just about to say the same thing.

Psyche turns sk into VT. Its kind of a bland role, not sure how it gives him the best chance to win, assuming hes town. Also, does psyche confirm sk? Could you be psyche with no sk?
Espe's comment about optimization over alignment makes no sense to me
In post 48, Schism wrote:Thats not the question. The question is why is Psyche a better pick for a pr instead of Mafia Cupid if Espe doesnt have an alignment preference.
to be a scum cupid his third card choice (assuming he's telling the truth about being psychiatrist) would also have to have been scum. if he got two town cards and mafia cupid as the third, it makes sense as a discard.
@NSG: do you normally naked vote in RVS? Curious on if you had a reason to vote wisdom.
no, not usually. i voted wisdom because i thought vanilla townie was the scummiest discard – not sure why i didn't just say that.
