Well, 1) I don't expect a scum to have vanilla cop abilities 2) it allows us to confirm that either hawk is a scum power role or not 3) If frogger is lying and doesn't have vanilla cop, it's really easy for us to lynch him. Either way, we're about to get one of the two confirmed.

1) scum vanilla cops exist and are used to find power roles.
2) this is true, but town miller and scum power role look the same, so is it useful?

Youre right I did misinterpret you slightly but you did agree with James that it was allows you to confirm I'm either a scum power role or not, if you are townreading me then you believe my Miller claim and wouldn't see that as confirming me as a scum power role or not, more simply you would have just said your second statement.

Chara and James feel bad to me... they spent about 6 posts now discussing a Wifom on weather or not they can confirm me or Frogger or both of us based off results. Particularly ignoring the facts and creating a weird Narrative.

Fact:
If Frogger reports back I am not Vanilla and at that point Wifom I am Miller or scum PR.

If Frogger is lying about being Vanilla Cop then his report back means nothing until I'm dead.

Motivation wise I don't know if Frogger is one to make gambits as scum but I don't believe he would do this as scum unless he truly believes it will "confirm" him as town. If he is scum Vanilla cop he knows the result will be Not Vanilla, will report it as not Vanilla, and we can only believe his claim on good faith that it lines up with his alignment and doesn't get checked by a real cop in the future.

I'm mostly trying to figure out if we CAN learn anything from this at this point. My thinking is: Frogger, by calling out his use of daycop, HAS to tell us what he learns, otherwise we know he's lying and we're going to lynch him by LyAL. Then we lynch you (not because I think you are scum). If Frogger was lying, we know confirmed scum and we lynch tommorow and/or start hunting for his team. If he's telling the truth we probably have confirmed town, and we can look at day 1 again and see how others reacted to him and potentially find scum.

i conceded it was true what Frogger's result could confirm, in the case of a proven not vanilla result meaning you are a town miller or a scum PR. he was technically correct. i was reminding him that a town miller would give the same result as the scum PR and thus Frogger's hypothetical result does not confirm anything.

i questioned James as i was concerned by his apparent total belief in Frogger's claim, among other things.

James, what i am trying to tell you is Frogger telling the truth does not make him confirmed town. Mafia aren't obligated to lie at every turn. he could be a real scum vanilla cop or scum savvy (i use this term loosely) enough to fakeclaim it knowing Hawk is town and a real miller.

i'm too wordy, but my point is your thinking on this is too simplistic. i would be incredibly surprised if Frogger's scum tactic here was to make a fakeclaim that would prove him scum after Hawk was mislynched.
