Could have sworn that the most you've talked about people being scum was an intent to hammer Riss and Voidedmafia being null-leaning-scum. But anyway--rereading.

What, didn't you pay attention the first time you read it?

Is there really any gain from rereading it?

There is something very wrong with my analysis of interactions so far; the end result makes no sense. Let's see if I can tackle this from a different angle and see what drops out.

I've basically claimed already, so perhaps someone can help me unravel this without further beating around the bush.

I'm a VT. The fact that Rainbowdash is positing the chance of Robocopter being scum
and
that he was considering the idea of Equinox/Riss_ being a team eliminates the three mason pairings I had in mind, all of them involving Rainbowdash and one of {Equinox, Riss_, Robocopter87}. This means I have no possible mason pairings, as everyone else has interactions that mark them as not masons with each other. On the other hand, this means that the scum aren't planning to claim masons, because there
are
no 'clean' pairs.

I don't want the masons to claim, I'd just like to know I'm not going crazy by not having possible pairings. I missed something somewhere, but I'm not sure how to tackle this game without pair interactions to narrow down the scum to four people.

You surely can't think we should out the masons to help you scumhunt so I don't really get why you're saying all of this? Especially since it'll rule out mason pairs?

I'm not asking to reveal the mason pair. I'm just explaining that it is why I'm confused and how my townread on Rainbowdash no longer applies. I need to go through things once more because there is something I discarded that I shouldn't have.

The difference between what you're doing and asking to reveal the mason pair seems to me merely a question of degree.

"What

Very funny. I can be awfully distracted, but I think I know the difference between a VT PM and a mason PM. Wouldn't be looking for masons from the beginning if I were one.

It's not so much an issue of trust but an issue of whether or not I actually like the wagon in question (speaking from before I went to work). I trust you, Dashie, and I guess I can trust that you've found
something
in Robo's ISO to call him town and hard-defend him this much, but I have a townread on Tierce myself, and even if Tierce's death will clear away some doubts, I just don't really feel it at all.

None if it is based on that. Just slight quirks and honestly some PoE. Like I said, not enough to put me in that ground.

(Why? You partners with Riss?)

Voidedmafia wrote:

I know you directed this at CES, but I gotta say that attempting to find possible Mason pairs in order to clear town is the same thing as attempting to find mason pairs in order to choose a nightkill.

(No, but the point is that you're being disingenuous (or however that's spelled) by saying I'm nullscum and then quickly backing up to saying I'm just null when Tierce asks you about that possible scumteam.)

Voidedmafia:

Cogito Ergo Sum, Rainbowdash, and I have proclaimed town reads on Robocopter87, and I can think of at least two of us who are reading him as town for different reasons. Since we don't scum hunt in exactly the same way, if we're coming to the same conclusions, the chances are very likely that Robocopter87 is, in fact, town. I can lay my reasoning out if you want, but I'm fairly sure that we all can't be wrong about this.

If you read Tierce as town, the only logical pairing here is {Equinox, Riss_}. If that pairing makes sense to you, you will get more information out of an Equinox vote at this point, as it will make apparent the scum team in play once I flip. Before you do that, though, please take a look again at why you're reading Tierce as town; if, after that, you still agree with your read, vote me and let Robocopter87 choose the hammer.

Like this,

In post 73, Robocopter87 wrote:It says you are more willing to policy lynch than to scumhunt for a proper lynch.

I don't remember "policy lynch" being among my list of reasons for wanting you dead...

You said this but it took a LOT of pressuring and questioning to get you to explain why it wasn't a policy lynch. And even now I still don't feel that it was adequately dealt with.

However, I do still see where this could be from a town mindset, but I think of it more as scummy. And due to my lack of scumreads but abundance of townreads, it takes that little bit to throw you on the scum side of things.

(Except no because I said that you were null with a hint of scum BEFORE Tierce said anything. I don't know how many times I must explain that you are a null read. But slightly scummy. But that scumminess doesn't mean you are scum with Riss. But you know all about "WELL IT WASN'T SPECIFICALLY STATED SO YOU CAN'T ASSUME THAT EVEN THOUGH ITS OBVIOUS ENOUGH TO MAKE THAT ASSUMPTION." So I shouldn't have to tell you.)

If you are searching for mason pairs, regardless of your intent, you still are forced to reveal the mason pairs. A.K.A, outting the pairs.

You can't masonhunt and not expect to out masons.

PEDIT: I too find myself to be a townread. You can add me on the list of reliable sources.
