Yeah, I didn't think we would pull it off. Thanks to Cuban Smoker for the words of praise, they are always appreciated.

Ok, so I'm too lazy to look, but the first night there wasn't a kill, we tried to off Antrax....now did he get lucky with his 25% chance, or was Saberkitty still alive (and why the hell does a vet protect pumpkins? Because it's improbable!)

Kudos to Luna for making us think she was too damn powerful, I'm assuming IS protected her the NEXT night when we tried to kill her. Those two no kills in a row really demoralized my family. We totally should have killed jeep or miri or ramaawen the night we killed zealot (iambic pentameter? brutal role....)

Oh, don't ever kill a person at random either (our first night kill) You have to kill the people who know what they are doing. With IS, Antrax, and mole in the end game we were in serious trouble. Jeep e-mailed me right after his death saying "if you and DP get away with this I'm going to be mad" Miri deserved a bullet as well, but I was hoping me being able to join her was enough to save my lying ass.

Speaking of which, if I ever get a decent net connection I'm sure I'll run a game some day, and Cadmium and quercitron have spots reserved.

Bah@antrax for thinking I stole a gambit from him. I stole my gambit from Hitler. I didn't care if anyone belived me, as long as they let me live. I was the only mafia member with a power, and I thought using it every night would help us. It all turned out much better than I hoped.

Special apologies go out to Radwulf who wanted to kill Miri or Neo the night we tried to kill Luna.

Most fun I've had in a mafia game, for sure. Pity we couldn't pull it off. If Antrax did get lucky (hitting his 25% chance) then I totally think we would have been fine if he had just died when he was supposed to. Although now that I think of it Bah@Syr D for revealing his doctor power. The extra kills were great, and we knew you were working with us, we just didn't kow it was YOU.

Great Game, all.

MAFIA 3: Improbable Role
Master Key
Part II

II. The Scenarios

I decided an Improbable Mafia deserved some Improbable Scenarios, things that would enliven the game a bit and make the Townsfolk start worrying (especially since they had a bit of an advantage.) I also think that the idea of triggered scenarios adds some new punch to a game which appears to be proceeding as normal, and since I wanted to introduce some new ideas to the game...

SCENARIO 1: THE UNDERWATER BASKETWEAVERS BECOME A CULT

If the Underwater Basketweavers exceeded three members at any one time, they could have the possibility of becoming...well...exclusive. There would be a 50% chance each night that Miri, tasting the power of having so many apprentices, would attempt to start a Cult. She would then form a Cult group with the goal of converting everyone (her apprentices would not be informed of this fact and would continue to talk to her.) She would have one 50% chance of conversion of any Townsperson per night (100% chance of converting a former Basketweaver.) However, the Basketweavers would be told if someone left their group for the Cult. The Cult could kill at night by sacrificing one of their own members, and would have to be eliminated by the Town. Not particularly powerful, but interesting nonetheless, and a way to limit the power of Miri’s abilities. Miri was not informed of this scenario’s possibility of occurrence.

SCENARIO 2: THE ROBOT IS LYNCHED

If Robot X4-6009-2A was lynched while the Cytokinin Scientist was still alive, the Scientist, enraged that his Creation had gone mad, would start ordering it to kill one player per night, against its will. The Robot (now labeled an unlynchable Killer Robot) would become a pseudo-Serial-Killer, with the Scientist providing a target. If the Robot was killed by some means (Mafia bullets had a 50% chance and the Pumpkin’s laser a 75% chance,) the Scientist would become the equivalent of a Mafia Spy. Of the three scenarios, this was the most likely to happen (and actually did. Not that improbable, I suppose.)

SCENARIO 3: BOND’S PLAGUE

Given Bond’s role description, it is possible that eventually a majority of the Town would be infected with the plague. If this happened, the rules of the game would immediately change: only half a majority would be required for a lynching, and the players would have only X turns (X = number of players infected by the plague divided by 2) to complete the game. At the end of X turns, if no group was dominant, all players would have died. If any group was dominant (read: would normally be the winning group,) then that group would have won. Basically, the Plague would turn the game into a Speed Mafia, and I did not seriously expect this to take place (it did not.)

III. The Game

Night 1

• The Mafia, after a long argument, decides to kill MUDSTER (James Bond,) pretty much randomly, and block ANTRAX. They are successful.
• The IRS Agent tries to target MOLE, the Prestidigitator, but fails. MOLE is told the rudiments of the IRS Agent (CADMIUM’S) role, due to his special ability.
• The Robot targets MIRIYAMI and was told she was human.
• The Methodical Cop sends this list:
1 Dragon Phoenix
2 sketchwick
3 Sooth
4 Beaudoin
5 Cadmium
6  radwulf
7 Antrax
8 mudster
9 Internet Stranger
10 mith
11 pikachamp
12 jeep
13 Luna
14 makemeok
15 MiriYami
16 Raamawen
17 mole
18 groza
19 Neo
20 Zealot
21 Corsato
22 SaberKitty
23 Sir Dynadan
24 eillid
The first target on the list, DRAGON PHOENIX, is found innocent due to his Godfatherhood.
• The Spanish Inquisition targets LUNA and receives the random result: innocent.
• Sherlock Holmes targets IS and is told his role was illogical.
• Lassie follows IS and is told he is very purple.
• Barney protects DRAGON PHOENIX.
• The Scientist protects CADMIUM, transforming him into a plant.
• The Necromancer does nothing, as no one is dead.
• The Underwater Basketweaver attempts to train IS, but fails.
• Bond targets DRAGON PHOENIX, infecting him with a temporary poison (dead next day if more than four votes.)
• Rube Goldberg transmogrifies JESTERNL into a squirrel.

Day 1

The Town awakes to find MUDSTER castrated by the Mafia (the same as death, to Bond) and CADMIUM and JESTERNL transformed. With 23 possible voters, 12 or a deadline are needed to lynch. The actors busily start dropping colour words in their posts, while onlookers wonder exactly what the heck is going on. SKETCHWICK drops a comment about Lorrana Bobbit being part of the Mafia and tells the Town to vote for the plant. The Town reacts poorly, and forgoes the normal first-day randomness to attack him. In the most daring gambit of the game, SKETCHWICK claims the nonexistent role of Johnny Cochrane: a lawyer who appears evil, blocks the role of one target per night, and makes that target appear innocent. Because he can prove his role (by a successful block,) the Town unvotes him. MITH tells people not to vote LUNA, hinting at his role. As bandwagons are disintegrating, and people seem unwilling to find a random first day lynching candidate, the MODERATOR sets a deadline. Votes pile up for SABERKITTY due to her role-playing of a cute innocent animal lover. She hints at her role in a defense, but few listen. At the deadline, RADWULF and SABERKITTY are tied. A coin flip seals the latter’s fate, and SABERKITTY (Veterinarian) is given over to the lynching machine.

Night 2

• The Mafia attempt to kill ANTRAX, but fail due to his 25% chance of protection. The Lawyer blocks EILLID, who would have otherwise investigated MIKE AMOK.
• The IRS Agent investigates NEO and is told vaguely that he does not owe any money.
• The Methodical Cop investigates SKETCHWICK and is told that is guilty.
• The Spanish Inquisition tortures IS and receives the random result ‘guilty.’
• Sherlock Holmes once again fails by investigating ANTRAX, whose role is quite illogical.
• Lassie follows DRAGON PHOENIX and is told he likes computers and frequents porn sites.
• Barney protects MITH.
• The Scientist protects MIKE AMOK, transforming him into a ginkgo tree.
• The Necromancer attempts to raise SABERKITTY but only gains control of her vote for the next day.
• The Basketweaver attempts to recruit MITH. MITH is told he can give up his ability to join a Mason Lodge, and that he has one day-night cycle to respond.
• The Flying Pumpkin aims at NEO.
• Rube Goldberg throws a smoke bomb at RADWULF, blocking his role for the night.

Day 2

The Town awakes to find no one dead, although they notice that they have a new plant among them. MITH, having found IS guilty, attacks him. Since IS is tortured, he is quickly overcome by the mob, despite RAAMAWEN’s attempts to save him by coming out as Sherlock Holmes. MITH comes out as the Inquisition, and IS quickly dies, taking a short time to claim a bulletproof vest role in an attempt to dissuade the Mafia from targeting a Doctor should he live. He is revealed as Barney. LUNA, afraid she will be next (given that MITH received the opposite result as IS for her,) comes out as the Necromancer and asks for time to prove her role. The Town debates whether or not MITH should be lynched on the merits of a generic Lepton’s Gambit, and whether or not a Necromancer role would be evil. LUNA channels SABERKITTY’s vote at RADWULF. There is a short bandwagon against SWEETWATER, but once again the Town runs into a deadline and this time it is MITH who is the unfortunate lynchee. He is revealed as the Spanish Inquisition, although the Town is not told he received random results.

Yay, way to go town!!

Thanx for modding this great game, Quercitron! It is one of my favorites. I love that scenario idea! And the roles were great too.

Sketchwick, I'm glad you remembered my request :D. You played very well. I mean, you were the very first person in this game to be accused of being mafia. And you still almost managed to win it.
"OH MY GOD, Cadmium! I can make rye bread! You must be innocent, I'll do whatever you tell me!" exclaims Mackay excitedly. - Jeep, Mini Game 9

MAFIA 3 (Improbable Role)
MASTER KEY
PART III

Night 3

• The Mafia attempt to kill LUNA, but fail as The Scientist protects her, turning her into a plant. The Lawyer does nothing.
• The IRS Agent investigates JESTERNL and is told he is a fine upstanding Cop.
• The Robot investigates SKETCHWICK and is told he is human, but not in any way a scientist.
• The Methodical Cop investigates SOOTHSAYER, who appears innocent.
• Sherlock Holmes investigates JEEP and is told the details of his life as a psuedo-Mason.
• Lassie follows ZEALOT and is told he has a flair for dramatic tragedy.
• The Necromancer attempts to raise INTERNET STRANGER and fails dramatically (his corpse dissolves into nothing.)
• The Basketweaver attempts to recruit RALPHMERRIDEW, and is told he does not wish to leave his family which has been so kind to him. MITH, of course, does not join her group, being too dead to join anything.
• The Flying Pumpkin, having aimed at NEO the previous night, does nothing as Neo is found to be Town.
• Rube Goldberg transmogrifies SKETCHWICK into a weasel (I thought it appropriate,) and, using a toy pistol, forces RADWULF to claim an allegiance. RADWULF admits to having done “evil things.”

Day 3

Since SKETCHWICK can’t talk, the Town posits that the transmogrifier may be evil. RAAMAWEN reveals her results for the night, and MOLE makes a pronoun error (substituting ‘we’ for ‘I’) that causes a mini-wagon against him. He is also forced to claim a role. MOLE asks investigators to target him so that he can build up a list of probable innocents - an interesting idea no one follows. NEO comes out with his role and fingers RADWULF as Mafia. The Town objects to what seems to be a too-powerful role, but they don’t know about what will happen to the lynching machine if NEO ever dies. RADWULF, in response to the attack, claims Billy Graham (super-Doctor) and says NEO must be some sort of Mafia Cop. SIR DYNADAN tells the Town not to fear, as he is also a Doctor. Eventually RADWULF is lynched, and revealed to be the Mafia Prostitute. The Town wonders at what this exactly means, and goes to sleep.

Night 4

• The Mafia target someone who hasn’t posted yet to throw more confusion on the Town, offing ZEALOT (William Shakespeare.) The Lawyer blocks SIR DYNADAN, who claimed a Doctor-type role.
• The IRS Agent investigates SWEETWATER and is told rather vaguely that he is really poor.
• The Robot investigates NEO, and is told that he is human but not his Creator.
• The Methodical Cop investigates BEAUDOIN and is told that he is innocent.
• Sherlock Holmes investigates NEO and is told he is Rube Goldberg, an Inventor and the Mayor of the Town.
• Lassie follows RALPHMERRIDEW and is told he likes to kill things.
• The Scientist, fearing death after claiming a Doctor-type role, tries to protect HIMSELF, but is blocked by the Lawyer.
• The Necromancer tries to raise MUDSTER and fails.
• The Basketweaver attempts to train ANTRAX. He is told he may join if he gives up his ability, and declines.
• The Flying Pumpkin aims at DRAGON PHOENIX.
• Rube Goldberg uses his last pistol to make ANTRAX confess an allegiance. ANTRAX is found innocent.

Day 4

The Town awakes to find no animals or plants but the loss of a great playwright (chandeliered center stage in the Theater.) RAAMAWEN reveals her investigation again, NEO asks the Town if there is any consensus on who should be the recipient of more smoke bombs, and SKETCHWICK makes up some more details of his role. Some votes are bandied against EILLID, MIRI, and RALPHMERRIDEW. EILLID becomes the main target of the daily bandwagon and, knowing he cannot be lynched, essays a rather bored defense. At the end of the Day, the lynching machine is fired up to get rid of EILLID, who, strangely enough, doesn’t die.

Improbable Scenario 2 is activated with the following (not-so-immortal) words:

With ten votes, the majority is reached, and the Town leads eillid to the lynching pole. As he reaches the top of the scaffold, he suddenly lunges, knocking the escort down the stairs and moving away from the intricate machine. But Rube Goldberg has prepared for such an escape attempt - the intricate device harpoons fine mesh at eillid, and he is captured.

It is then that the Town notices that eillid is not a he, but an 'it' - where the harpoons cut into his 'skin' he shows fine circuitry, wiring, computer chips, lights, smoke. eillid is clearly some sort of highly advanced replic...er...robot. Not a replicant. A robot. Ha ha!

(Bladerunner Mafia joke over.)

Tired of the spectacle, one of the members of the Town pushes the red button, and all hell breaks loose. The lights light, the sounds sound, the chainsaws move in to 'lynch' eillid.

And just as suddenly, everything shuts down.

eillid breaks free from the lynching machine, and the voice that comes from his 'mouth' is no longer his own.

"FOOLISH TOWN, YOU THAT HAVE TRIED TO LYNCH MY CREATION. YOU NOW WILL SUFFER. YOU CANNOT LYNCH MY ROBOT EILLID, AS I AM PROTECTING HIM. EACH NIGHT HE WILL NOW DESTROY ONE OF YOU FOR YOUR IMPUDENCE AND YOUR IGNORANCE."

eillid steps down from the scaffold.

"I don't know what's going on-I'm just a robot, looking for my Creator, and I know he's human, but-

"YOU DO MY BIDDING, EILLID. TONIGHT YOU WILL KILL ONE OF THEM. TOMORROW NIGHT YOU WILL KILL ONE OF THEM. AND THEY CANNOT STOP YOU."

"I'll never!

"YOU ARE UNDER MY COMMAND."

"I'm innocent!"

"HAHAHAHAHAHA..."

The Town is stunned. This is too improbable - it cannot be happening - perhaps it is a dream. They abandon eillid and leave for their beds to ponder what has occurred.

Night breaks again, this time with two killers in the shadows...

Night 5

• SIR DYNADAN is informed that he now gets a kill choice as well as a plant choice.
• The Mafia kills off SOOTHSAYER (Lassie) and blocks RAAMAWEN’s attempted investigation of JESTERNL.
• The IRS Agent investigates CORSATO and is told he is rich, and may have connections to the Mafia.
• The Robot checks SKETCHWICK again and is told he is still not his Creator.
• The Methodical Cop investigates CADMIUM and is told he is innocent.
• Lassie investigates ANTRAX and is told his ass is very important to him.
• The Scientist (now a *mad* Scientist) once again injects HIMSELF with cytokinins, and uses EILLID’s destructive powers to kill NEO (Rube Goldberg.) The lynching machine starts to degrade.
• The Necromancer attempts to raise MITH but fails (although I should have made an exception for this one :P.)
• The Basketweaver attempts to recruit NEO and is successful immediately for the first time in her career. This does not help her much as NEO dies.
• The Flying Pumpkin is told DRAGON PHOENIX is Town, due to his Godfatherhood.
• Rube Goldberg gives a smoke bomb to JEEP and tries to transmogrify EILLID.

Day 5

The Town awakes to find Lassie run over by a Mafia truck and Neo killed in fine Bladerunner style. The lynching machine starts to fluctuate and stays for the day at 5% malfunction probability. The Town, picking up on Lassie’s previous investigation hints, goes after RALPHMERRIDEW, who claims Moby Dick, is not believed, and is lynched very quickly. The Town learns he is Mafia Scum. MIRI claims a role as well.

Night 6

• The Mafia block SIR DYNADAN’s protection ability, followed by killing him with an overdose of his own cytokinins. The Cytokinin and Robotics Scientist dies, but not before his own night kill of RAAMAWEN (Sherlock Holmes), who had recently investigated the Godfather himself, DRAGON PHOENIX, is carried out by his robotic Creation.
• The IRS Agent investigates SIR DYNADAN and is told he is quite rich and clever.
• The Robot investigates MOLE, and is told he is human but not his Creator.
• The Methodical Cop investigates ANTRAX and is told he is innocent.
• The Necromancer attempts to raise NEO, and is given control of his vote.
• The Basketweaver attempts to train Luna, who is told that she can join without losing her ability. Luna accepts and will join the next night.
• The Flying Pumpkin asks the MODERATOR if an ass-laser-beam can destroy a Robot. After being told yes, he shoots EILLID, destroying Robot X4-6009-2A.

Day 6

The Town awakes to three deaths, and the lynching machine instability increases to 15%. IS notes that, surprisingly enough, ANTRAX, SKETCHWICK, and DP are all still alive. The Town discusses their situation a bit. CORSATO claims Pepé Le Pew after being attacked by CADMIUM, and confuses the issue a bit with false information. CADMIUM also claims his role, realizing that he is fairly useless, and the lynching machine ends up taking them both (the first normally, as he is lynched Mafia Scum, and the second with a random malfunction (not that an IRS Agent is always good anyway.))

MAFIA 3 (IR)
Master Key
PART IV

Night 7

The Prestidigitator chooses to use his special ability tonight to switch choices to new targets. The intended targets are as follows:

• The Mafia attempt to kill JEEP, and block MIRIYAMI.
• The Methodical Cop attempts to investigate SWEETWATER.
• The Necromancer attempts to raise RAAMAWEN.
• The Basketweaver attempts to recruit DRAGON PHOENIX.
• The Flying Pumpkin attempts to shoot SKETCHWICK.

The Prestidigitator rearranges them as follows:

• The Mafia kill SWEETWATER (Actor) and the Lawyer blocks DRAGON PHOENIX, who did nothing.
• The Methodical Cop investigates MIRIYAMI and is told she appears innocent.
• The Necromancer gains a vote control the next day from RAAMAWEN.
• The Basketweaver attempts to recruit SKETCHWICK, and since SKETCHWICK has the “Mafia Spy” status for this game he is told he can join the group if he gives up his secondary role (the blocking ability.) He declines. I did give the Basketweaver a hint at his guiltiness by stating that he could never be trained anyway.
• The Flying Pumpkin lasers JEEP, who is also revealed to be an Actor.

Day 7

There are now nine players left alive. The Town starts to debate what roles are out there, settling on one or two Mafia, the Basketweaver, Johnny Cochrane, the Necromancer, the Prestidigitator, the Pumpkin, and one or two Actors. ANTRAX comes out as the Pumpkin, IS and MIKE AMOK come out as Actors, and with the Town’s ideas that both DP and SKETCHWICK are innocent a unanimous bandwagon forms against JESTERNL. JESTERNL has time to claim his role, but he is not believed, and the Town is soon short their Methodical Cop. Oops.

Night 8

• The Mafia make the night easy, as they both block and kill ANTRAX, whose protection abilities now do not save him...no more Flying Pumpkin. Incidentally, this leads to what I thought was a humourous death scene:

It is a quiet night now that the Town has been steadily losing its population. Antrax's demeanor reflects this quietness; he is not on his guard as he roams around looking for Mafia.

Someone dressed in black finds him, and approaches him from the front with an ice pick.

"You have shot laser beams out of your ass too many times. Now you will die."

Antrax readies his ass to fire, but the ice pick is thrown with uncanny skill, smashing the pumpkin. (Heh heh. Smashing Pumpkins. Heh heh.)

The Flying Pumpkin that Shoots Laser Beams out of its Ass is no more, and the Town weeps.

• The Necromancer does not send a target.
• The Underwater Basketweaver attempts to recruit MOLE; he is told he may give up his ability to join the following night, and accepts.

Day 8

The lynching machine is up to 25%. DP still refuses to claim any sort of role, banking on the fact that his reputation and logic will allow him to get away with it. For the moment, it does. The Town wonders if there could possibly be a Mafia or Godfather Mason, and MIKE AMOK comes under a bit of suspicion. IS notes that everyone is cleared in some manner, so the Town is looking for a Mafia with abilities. He declares that SKETCHWICK and DP seem most suspicious to him, and calls the Town to vote for one of them. After almost a week of debating, the MODERATOR sets a deadline, and states that there will be no more lynches without majority. IS tries to muster a bandwagon against SKETCHWICK, but does not find one, and there is no lynch. In another amusing moment, IS goes off on the Townspeople for having no balls. In the cases of Luna and Miri, at least, this is true.

Night 9

• MOLE joins the Underwater Basketweaving group, and LUNA has been trained long enough to recruit also.
• The Mafia block both of LUNA’s abilites, and kill IS (another Actor.)
• The Basketweaver attempts to recruit DRAGON PHOENIX and is told he declines, with no hint to his guiltiness.

Day 9

The lynching machine destabilization is at 35%. There is a frenzied argument between DP and MIRI revolving around her recruiting abilites. DP creates an elaborate defense for why he did not join her group when asked and claims the role of Dr. Jekyll, consistent with everything he has done in the game so far. Unfortunately, he is not believed, and after a very long day he is lynched and revealed to be Bill Gates, the Godfather. His last finesse destroys MOLE (the Prestidigitator) as they struggle on the machine’s platform. There are four left alive.

Night 10

• The Mafia Lawyer blocks MIKE AMOK and DOES NOT KILL to implicate him the next day.
• The Basketweaver and her Apprentice both attempt to recruit MIKE AMOK, and are told that he has been offered the chance to join and will accept or decline during the next day-night cycle. He accepts, of course, but cannot do anything yet.

Day 10

The lynching machine instability rises to 45%, and with four alive three votes are needed to lynch. The MODERATOR does not use confirm-votes but states that if at any time there is a majority there will be a lynching, and that there will be no deadlines. MIKE AMOK and SKETCHWICK accuse each other, and after a short skirmish SKETCHWICK has the requisite three votes. The Mafia Lawyer is finally lynched after his false role claim on Day 1, and the TOWN WINS.

Left alive at the end:
MIRIYAMI (Master Underwater Basketweaver)
LUNA (Apprentice and Amateur Necromancer)
MIKE AMOK (Apprentice, former Actor)

IV. Credits

• The ‘characteristic’ of the Actors, allowing them to be Masons who originally did not know each other, was first used in Verbose Mafia on the GL.
• The Flying Pumpkin That Shoots Laser Beams Out Of Its Ass was originally a joke reference made by Antrax in Vegetable Mafia on the GL. Surprisingly enough, he received this role randomly.
• The Robot and the Robot’s death scenes are a nod to Bladerunner Mafia modded by Samadhi on the GL.
• Shakespeare’s special ability was used in the Mafia Invitational modded by mith on the GL.
• As far as I know, the Methodical Cop, Mafia Lawyer, Extra-kill Godfather, Lynching Machine malfunctions, Prestidigitator’s ability, and the idea of Scenarios are original and if referenced belong to this game.

Thank you all for playing. It was a pleasure to moderate this game. Please consider playing in Mafia 8: Vintage Betrayal when it appears.

Again, it was a great game.

On night 7, I attempted to block mole with the smoke bomb that I was given, however, I attempted to send the e-mail from work and instead of sending it, I decided to wait and saved it, instead. The next day I e-mailed quercitron wondering why moles ability worked... after some investigation, I found the e-mail in my drafts folder. Either way I would have died and this probably turned out better than if the smoke bomb worked.

Couple questions: What if I block Neo and he smoke bombs me and uses a pistol on me the first night?

What did Antrax do night one?

Again, great game, I don't think the town was overbalanced....had Antrax died (which should have happened 75% of the time) or we had been smart with some of our kill choices, we would have been fine.

Actually, had I died early, less investegators would've wasted their time on me (seriously, you'd think being cleared once would be enough for everyone), so it would probably balance out. My sole contribution to the town was taking out the robot -- and the inventor died anyhow.

I have completed an edit of Mafia 3: IR in text format. The edit contains only relevant posts. Spelling, grammar, and other errors have been corrected except when relevant to game discussion. Double posts have been merged. Vote counts, night talking, signup posts, date/time, and signatures have been eliminated. Moderator and player commentaries, including night actions and balance issues have been inserted when appropriate.

If you would like a copy of the edited MAFIA 3: IMPROBABLE ROLE, please send an email to quercitron@mac.com with some sort of suggestion as to what formats your computer most enjoys reading. Be warned: the edit is 54000 words long.

If you would like to add anything to the commentary, as either a player in the game or an observer, regarding balance, enjoyment, creativity, logic, thought approach, or how/what you were feeling/thinking at any given time during the game, send it my way in an email or PM and I will add it to the Master Key.

The edit available follows what I want to develop as a standard format for finished Mafia Games.

Note to Mods of other games: I am currently chewing through the modification and editing of game transcripts purely in order of what night actions I have. If anyone wants to send me night actions/roles/commentary for finished games, I'll start them on my edit list.

Currently edited to Q-standard format:

Mini 3 (Neo)

Querciton, whose commentary would you like on Mini 6?

Primarily yours. Anything would be good: how you got the idea for the game, how you decided that particular mix was balanced, if you think someone could have pulled it off if the players knew the roles beforehand, comments on gameplay and actions by people (just what you think of posts and strategies,) how you think the game would hold up with 10 really experienced players, what you think of jeep's protect-IS-every night strategy in a Mini Game.

If IS sent commentary, I'd like to know why he picked all his kill choices, what he thought his chances of winning were at the beginning, if he ever thought he was screwed, etc.

It's 2 am and I feel like discussing game balance.

The Town was somewhat overpowered, but there were things going against them.

As mafia member I have to totally disagree. I think quercitron is biased by the outcome. The fact is that I feel we, as mafia, made 2 or 3 horrible choices on who to kill AND Antrax got lucky when his 25% chance to have his life saved hit.

I'd like to apologize to Radwulf, who I believe wanted to lynch either Sherlock Holmes or the Mayor the night we killed Shakespeare.

Shakespeare! Did you read that guys role? I mean he had to be mute or an english major! Sorry, Radwulf.

On a side note I can frequently be driven insane by the slow pace of mafia games. That being said I don't know how to balance a resonable night deadline with the importance of decisions that the mafia need to make. The mafia is the biggest concern, since they must communicate and form a consensus of who needs to die. Perhaps I will experiment with a mafia with no group decsions...and although night communication will still be allowed, responsibility for each mafia night action will ultimately rest on one mafia member.
