I've been occupied with midterms, but I'm around.

No real evidence at this point, though I've not seen a lot of real discussion happening either.

I'll go with a general
no lynch
vote for now, until we get some meaningful evidence.

Nanook, both Yosarian2 and Lying unvoted and voted without giving any reason. As Lying came second he deserves more attention.
Lying Brian wrote:did you guys want to actually discuss something? what are our options for day 1? mass-claim? random lynch? following BabyJesus? c'mon, think for yourselves! just b/c i'm willing to apply pressure on somebody does not make me scummy.
a. Yes I do want to discuss. That's why I'm voting you. You jumped on the first person to vote you as if stung, so I voted you (page 1).

b. We should lynch the scummiest. At the moment, you're the scummiest.

c. No. Is that meant to be funny?

d. This is too often the case.

e. ? what does he have to do with it?

f. Thanks for the advice. :P

g. Just because a person who was voting you unvotes and votes someone else without an explanation, followed by you unvoting and voting the same player doesn't make you scum. The mod did that. It does however make it more likely, which is good ebough for me for now.

And I'll
FoS: Illumina
forever for suggesting no lynch day one. Why on earth would we do that? How would we benefit? We had 3 deaths last night. You want 3 more before we start, yeah?

Voting to "give someone else the same number of votes as you" is scummy; it gives the appearence that you're more interested in improving your own odds of not getting lynched then you are in finding scum.

I figured someone would comment on my going against the grain. I was actually tempted to vote for Lying (would have saved me from being "suspicious" and been a solid move from a townsperson and mafia perspective) but as I said, there's just not enough reason to suspect yet.

It's just probability - higher chance of killing off a townsperson than mafia, because there's no evidence right now, it's too embryonic.

His wishy-washiness reeks of scumminess, and he's spending more time pushing the focus of attention onto others than making a credible defense for himself.

i would like an example of my wishy-washiness to defend or an example of something other than my vote i need to defend myself on.

point taken. i am still rather new, so don't lynch me on a newbie mistake.
d8P wrote:a. Yes I do want to discuss. That's why I'm voting you. You jumped on the first person to vote you as if stung, so I voted you (page 1).
that was my way of playing around. it was more sarcasm than anything else. my original vote for BabyJesus was truly random, so i moved my vote to JSexton. i apologize the humor was lost in translation.
d8P wrote:c. No. Is that meant to be funny?
yes. again, my very sarcastic sense of humor coming through.

yes, i am really unvoting TonyMontana, but this is an example of my sense of humor.

. You said you were tempted to vote for Brian but didn't do it. And you didn't even say you had something agianst him? At this stage of the game it is very important to tell every minor detail you find.

I was tempted because his actions were a bit suspicious, but not enough to warrant a vote.

So why bother mentioning it? .. or even place an fos? .. If it isn't even worthy of that, then it isn't worth mentioning. :P

All I said was that it looked suspicious, but not overly.

And because I needed to defend myself simply for not voting, for lack of evidence. :P

This is really scummy.. no lynch on the first day, with three people killed on night one is the worst idea I’ve seen from the beginning of this game.. we were 28 at the beginning but if scum will keep on killing 3 people every night, there are not too many nights for waiting..

I was under the impression that special roles were used to get three kills - is it even possible that the mafia could make three kills again this entire game?

Hm. Like I said earlier, it looks like there are 2 mafia families plus a serial killer. So yes, there would probably be three kills again tonight.

Illumina, (no offence, but) have you played mafia before?

In the Road to Rome forum there are smaller games of seven specifically to help those who haven't played before to get some practice. This allows new players to get acquainted with roles, the game mechanics and
lulls them into a false sense of security
prepares them for larger games which are much more involved and time-consuming.

Whether this is your first or 500th game, I highly recommend reading the wiki and other finished games to find out about the roles used on mafiascum.
