Official Vote Count 1.03 - Bokor János - Hat nap óta szól a nóta
Spoiler: Bokor János - Hat nap óta szól a nóta

Hat nap óta szól a nóta, nem pihentem én azóta.
Átölelve tart a párom, hatnak a fele három,
A pici csókos szádat várom;
Úgy is te leszel a párom.

Félrerúgtam a csizma sarkát,
Elhívattam a zirci vargát:
Üsse jobban rája,
Míg a banda muzsikálja.
The music has been playing for six days, I haven't rested since then.
My partner holds me in embrace, half of six is three,
I'm waiting for your little kissing mouth;
You'll be my partner anyway

I kicked my boot heel askew
I called the cobbler from Zirc over
Hammer it on straight
While the band is still playing

Both.

I liked your reaction to my goofiness and if the hydra is town we potentially have four people solving privately.

I am early townreading Menal and I want a thread with him. The hydra is a bonus. If they’re scum, we have two people to potentially mess up in the private thread, if they’re town, we have four town players solving the game and able to do so privately.
"Mess up"?

I think the most likely scenario for a hood with scum and a townie is that scum pockets the townie, not anything else.

But what about two townies?

I appreciate the skepticism, I think it reads town. But we are being given a tool, we might as well use it.

And yes, mess up. Generally when I’m Mafia with a town PT I feel much more pressured because the spotlight is on me. That has to be compounded with two players trying to keep their story straight.

You’re right that there’s a bigger risk of pocketing, which is why I opted to have someone I thought was town early in the PT with me. Have you ever been in a neighborhood with a town hydra or like 3-4 townies? It allows you to flesh out reads more for sure. I absolutely love masons for this reason.

Thank you. I disagree with the conclusion of your assessment, especially since Neighborhood formation requires the approval of a larger group of players rather one originally established or one formed via role ability, but I appreciate your explanation.

I'm not a detective but I wonder if you and Slaxx memeing aggressively at the start of the game was offputting to people.
It's always the same. When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who's going to die. You don't know whose children are going to scream and burn. How many hearts will be broken. How many lives shattered. How much blood will spill, until everybody does what they're always going to have to do from the very beginning... SIT DOWN AND TALK!

Give the game a little time before you assume it will be always dead. For instance, my activity varies wildly with the general activity of the game and my engagement with it.

I mean, your mileage may vary. Some people are more prone to hood pocketing, and those people should hopefully be vocal about it so we can try to help them look critically at their neighbor's posts. Having multiple hoods per person will probably help because then you can bounce reads on your neighbors off of each other and they might be able to help you avoid getting pocketed.

I don't see the advantage of gamesolving in the rooms, personally. And it's easier for scum to pocket in hoods.

@Suji

Early amount of attention he’s drawing to himself + the way he was goofing around with me felt natural and not forced or awkward. Sometimes some people try to act lackadaisical and you can clearly tell they’re uncomfortable.

It’s a page 2-4 read, obviously it’s still early, but I feel good enough about it to vocalize it now.

Don’t want to get too caught up on mechanics. But. I kinda went over that. That’s why I want to go in with an early town read.

You think mafia can pocket two people in a neighborhood? And that the risk of that outweighs the benefit of talking the game through with someone you think is town?

I’m open for your justification on that.

You really think you've got something to talk about 's better said in private already?

For someone who thinks we need more activity that looks a little counterproductive, yeah? Say what you're gonna say in the open.

It's possible. When I've been scum I've found it easier to pocket people in hoods because there you don't have as many town to influence them, so your words matter more. Also you can use personal appeals more easily.
And you can "talk through the game" in the main thread, no?

Activity in the thread and activity in the neighborhood are not mutually exclusive.

And yes, there are already things I’d like to discuss in private with Menal and the hydra.
