An introductory Flash tutorial for all the new players.

I've been working on this for the past couple of days. If you're like me, it's easier to learn things if you can visualize them. That's why I've made this nifty tutorial for anyone who wants to know how to play. I've gotten a lot of positive feedback so far, but feel free to post your criticizisms as well.

I really like it, but I have some suggestions.

The illustrations during the long discussion phase of the sample game show everybody standing around with apathetic looks on their faces. Why not have some fingers pointed or some tempers flared?

I like the roles page. It would be neat if you had a reference to other roles. Just a blurb about some of the wierd stuff that shows up in games. You could use the flying pumpkin as the image.

Why do the masons look like construction workers? The mason role is a reference to freemasonry, not bricklaying. Although coming up with an alternative image is somewhat difficult. I suppose you might do something with the square and compasses symbol.

At any rate it's a good intro. I really like it.

Seconded. That's really the only adjustment I'd make to the sample game, although adding a second sample game with a doc and/or cop might be cool too.

one thing i love about it was the simple explanation of other roles.

i sent to to my cousin and mom, who play basic IRL mafia all the time and they loved the other roles.

if you wanted to add some other roles, i would reconmend you add two of my favs, the Governor and the Miller.


hopefully i can use it to bring more people in the game.
most people i know understand the basic cop-doc-townie-mafia game.
but they get confused when they are in chat or other places.


if you made a 2nd game with a doc-cop in it, you may want to try the mafia counterclaiming one of the roles. so it give the viewer more mafia terminology.

I like it as well, but I too expressed suprise at the Construction worker mason. Were you attempting to build a village people remix team? If so, where is the Indian?

Also, this is just me talking out of my ass with egotastical awesomeness, but would it kill you to reference my genius invention of UPick?
