Polarboy, good point. I should give them more emotion. Originally, even the people being lynched looked indifferent, but Vaughn suggested I change that. I will also include more roles and role theory. Thanks for explaining masons to me, too. I didn't really do my research.

if he doenst approve of the lynch that day, he lets the mod know and he/she will be spared.

You could have the cultist wearing dark clotheing and holding a "Book of Bad Poetry". The Miller could be a suspicious looking hunchback. The Governor can have a big fake white mustache with pinstripe clotheing and a hat. Wearing a "Vote for Me" badge.

(Seriously, though, it's sort of an edge case. If you want to talk about different types of games, theme games in general and role-motive split games should come first, because they're far more popular. But I think what's there is fine in terms of scope -- it's intended as an introduction and it serves that purpose well.)

I've always been told that a hooker, prostitute, or harlot is like a roleblocker in the sense that they can detain somebody by doing the horizontal hula with them all night.

I second the iritation about masons, but I have not yet thought of an alternative outlook for them.

If you want to add more emotion to it how about changing the hanging scene a little:
A "unknown" player hangs (with question mark on his shirt as the other), and everyone is sort of looking at him, wondering who he really is. Then he slowly changes colour to red, horns appear and now everyone knows it's a member of the mafia. Just a suggestion.

I like the roles page. It would be neat if you had a reference to other roles. Just a blurb about some of the wierd stuff that shows up in games. You could use the flying pumpkin as the image.

Keep in mind this is a tutorial for beginners. Let's not overwhelm them with everything a mafia game could possibly be, let's just get them prepped for their first newbie game. A link to the mafiascum roles page is sufficient, in my opinion.

There's also no need to mention annoying minor variants to the game of mafia.

Looks good...though if I may make a suggestion:
I would change the 'Corrupt Townie' name to 'Miller' in the various roles section. To me, if I heard "corrupt townie", I would think that it is someone who is (somewhat?) pro-mafia, but comes up innocent, rather than the opposite.
