New Role: Lawyer

The Lawyer is a magistrate but has traits of a bus driver.

Each night he picks 2 people.

If the person the lawyer protects is lynched the 2nd choice will be lynched if he 2nd choice was lynched the first choice is lynched.

The extra twist is in his role if he wishes to he can protect noone but in that case the lawyer gets to cast the deciding vote in a 2 way tie

worst idea ever.

It's a pro-town role that confuses the town and potentially screws it over.

The main ability doesn't sound like a pro-town ability.

What's the flavor for this role?

Oh It's a scum role

it a risk putting a protection on scum but if that scum player got lynched then a town would get lynched but if the town lynched the town member the mafia would get lynched I tried it a few nights ago it waas really cool

It seems very powerful for a scum role, I say give the town a vig if you are ever ever ever going to use this role.

Yeah, I think it can be pretty powerful, too. The scum can easily redirect lynch results to claimed power.... y'know, Player A a Cop (who has claimed), and Player B has garnered a little bit of suspicion in the game. Switch A and B, push the lynch on B... oops! Dead Cop!

Letting the scum mess with (and potentially control) lynches is taking away the town's only guaranteed weapon against scum. This role would definitely need to be limited in some way (maybe the Lawyer only acts every 2-3 day/night cycles?), or it'll probably be too powerful.

It'll once every 2 days maybe and It'll be instead of 3 mafia only 2 because it's too powerful

Thats putting too much dependence on power roles. They're for flavor, not for the game's point, as if they get lynched your game is broken.

If lawyer is the last scum, and there's no vig, its game. He consistently picks himself and another town player. hes Unlynchable and theres no one to kill him. Game over.

I'd be inclined to make it a one-shot ability, no self-targeting and if it's not used when the lawyer dies it's wasted.

Even then though it can potentially make or break the game. But all roles can do that in certain situations.
