Dark Alice stretched out her arms and legs, yawned loudly, and hopped on the bird-beast she tamed on her journey.

"Hmmm... I think I'll name you, Doduo," said Alice, "he was a good friend of mine, but I sadly lost him when I was escaping the Wonderland."

Alice smiled thoughtfully. She was free to do anything she wanted in this world. Looking-Glass inhabitants have been eliminated, including the nonsensical beast called The Jabberwock that gave her so much trouble. Queen Alice has been deposed of, and the Alice from the Real World has been sent back to where she belonged. She won't be able to return again.

"Come on, Doduo. Let's go write a new story. It will be full of new places, new people, and new adventures. No one can interfere with us now."

Alice straightened her back, and sat up. They cleared the treeline, and the sun was shining in her eyes, but she didn't mind, because she knew that everything was going to be ok.

"This is my story."

My two-cents...

First of all, congratulations to the scum team, especially Katsuki, on their win! While the vig was able to narrow down the scumteam to the last man, Katsuki never gave up hope and pulled through for his team.

Moving on to my thoughts when I wrote this game. I had originally planned to make the Alice games into two games, and did not include the characters of the Looking-Glass in the first game. (I don't know if anyone saw that!) If I had meant the first Alice game to be the "standard" game, then I think the second Alice game can be best described as a "continuation", or aptly, "sequel". As with the first game, I strove to make the game itself good, as opposed to relying on a special mechanic or unusual cast of roles to make the game special. The flavor design philosophy was "reflection". Every character in the game had a matching partner with a theme, whether it be Real vs. Fiction (for real Alice and Queen Alice), Friendship/Brotherhood (Walrus + Carpenter, Tweedledee/dum, Kitty + Snowdrop), Red vs White (the Red Court vs the White Court), or Power (The Jabberwock + Humpty Dumpty). The only one without a partner was, fittingly enough, the Dark Alice, who was an intruder to the Looking-World, and had no reflection. The game was balanced similarly, with a 14-3 split while including few town negative utility roles. Unlike in the first Alice game, I strove for a vig-cop balance, as opposed to a doc-cop balance, because I wanted to distinguish the tempo of the 2nd game from the 1st. To reduce swing, I had weakened the cop (resulting in Novice Cop), and removed the vig's ability to remove town or scum PRs. The compulsory modifier was purely for cosmetics, since I fully expected the Hated Townie to claim post 1, and the vanilla vig could always no-kill by shooting the Hated Townie. By removing the vig's ability to remove town negative utility roles, I was hoping to both force the vig to scumhunt, and to stop the vig's diluting influence on the town negative roles. For the scum team, I had ensured that the vig cannot kill the Rolestopper no matter what happens, and if the scum team was able to learn that the Jabberwock could only kill Vanilla, then it would allow the scum team to provide protection from the vig for one of their goons. In addition, I hinted to the scum team that there are no protection roles in this game, by giving them a Doctor fakeclaim. The final balance was deemed slightly town-sided, which was what I was going for.

What happened in the game was beyond any expectations I had. With a high priority target like Nacho drawing Novice Cop, I did not expect the role's power to come into play, and along with Katsuki's excellent d1 fake guilty play, town's investigative role was removed. However, the other side of the town balance, the Jabberwock, did not disappoint. After shooting with 99.45% accuracy (I did the math in the mod PT), DeasVail correctly setup-spec'd to realize that the last remaining scum is a power role and immune to his vig. Instead of using the setup-provided no kill (the Hated Townie), DeasVail proceeded to show off his ability to read softclaims and shot notscience in order to generate a no-kill. (incredibly stylish play if I ever seen one) Unfortunately, town did not heed his words, and lynched every single remaining townread DV had heading toward endgame, ending with 0% accuracy in lynches and giving a perfect (sans vig play) game to Katsuki. This was a game where one heck of a miracle worker PR was holding the town from falling apart, but it wasn't good enough.

I would like to again highlight the amazing display of skills from both Katsuki and DeasVail, and thank the entire cast of players for keeping up with activity and taking the game seriously.

This was the greatest game I have ever modded, and I would have greatly enjoyed this game had I played in it.

Fun game stressful LYLO. Sala raised some points that did suggest me as scum but they were night actions and thus easily setupable.

Also I'm just curious, what made you decide to shoot who you did?

Night 1 I could think of a good reason not to shoot everyone except Empking, who I was starting to scumread towards the end of Day 1 anyway. He just felt detached from the game in a way I thought was more than usual even for him, but I wasn't sure about this and my primary reason for shooting there was lack of any reason to think him town.

I was hesitant to shoot TD night 1 because of his display of emotion Day 1, but after his very mellow Day 2 posts and lack of conviction in following up earlier reads which he had seemed so passionate about without much identifiable reason, I thought he was the best shot.

After shooting two mafia goons, I thought there weren't likely to be anymore (I did think it was 4 scum though) and so my aim was to shoot someone who probably wasn't a VT (the idea of going for someone random and them only dying if town was incredibly depressing), and then if they didn't die and later claimed VT, I could say they were fairly likely scum. Notscience was softclaiming and so I thought targeting him would be an ok idea.

I shot you the next two times on the offchance that you were somehow a goon but knowing you probably wouldn't die, but I didn't want to shoot a VT claim because they would probably only die if they were town. I was expecting to die by that stage so even if I did target someone like Desp and he didn't die, it would've been for nothing. I thought it was high risk, negligible reward.
