Yes, you said this. But I cannot believe they would do it in this case, with their team collapsing due to lurking and process of elimination. They would have needed every mislynch they could get away with badly.

Said lurker was terrible enough as to have no chance of not being lynched either way.

I forgot to answer to this in the rush, but you do have a point here. They could have expected him to be lynched anyway, without the cop innocent he probably would have been.

Pegasus' wall on hiplop-town actually makes me want to vote hiplop more. in particular the last two quotes, in the first one he acts like farside calling him confirmed town is a clear on him, yet there's no basis for that in his role. and the second one is literally just rage.
along with that, none of the points Pegasus makes actually make me think hiplop is town. the case is very weak and based mostly on things that hiplop would be doing regardless of his alignment.
and why is that? because he's been taking things easy with his semi-confirmed-town status until today. notice the fact that he's been 10x more active defending himself today than he has been the rest of the game.
