Looking at the Golden Iso I don't see anything that points to them being scum. The anger feels genuine and the few votes they do have in the game I agree with. I think both of the top wagons are on town. If we're looking for a low poster lynch, why not Thea who is not doing anything the help the game state? The only vote they have in the game is on us (and I admit that is why I iso'd them) for the simple reason of us being an anon hydra; the rest of the posts are filler.

i think the real question is what the hell are we supposed to do.

let's for the sake of theories, say that there may be a third species or something similar.

if the town win con is to kill all the werewolves, wouldn't it mean that these third species, although generally are anti-town, in this game specifically wouldn't be a enemy?

and if our win con has nothing to with them, wouldn't it mean that them don't have anything to do with us as well?

in other words, if the win con of town is to kill the werewolves, it doesn't matter if there is third species, third parties or unicorns. we only need to get rid of the werewolves. that's all we gotta do based on our win con.

Maybe, depending of how mastina replies my question, we should instantly do a massclaim of species, saying "human" or "non-human".

of course the "bad" werewolves will be claiming human, but werewolves and other species aligned with the town (and that i suppose that need to kill other werewolves and sacrifice themselves) will have nothing to fear.

the unique problem is if there's roughly the same quantity of non-humans in town that there's of humans, because the human town win con is to have at least one

townie remaining.

that means that even if we're from the same alignment and will share common goals (eliminating the werewolves), we're not exactly the "same". maybe they need to have one

it's less to do with alignment and more to do with being human or werewolf, get it? that's why depending of what the mod says, it's important to make the massclaim and see if there is werewolves aligned with the town and policy lynch them.

in other words, if there's werewolves in "the Town", alignment has way less to do with anything. For example, as absurd as it sounds, if there is a human aligned with the "faction werewolves", we may not even need to kill them. All depending of how mastina replies my question.

Tbh I think Mathblade is in every single game I've been in over the past year or something. Which is only a couple, but still.

I am in a hood with X other people and we vote to neighborize or kill. Hence why I wasn’t exactly the same. I townread some of the members but one of whom is raising my brows some. And if there are any others they are somewhere between town and null. I do not actively scumread anyone in my hood.

Hence why don’t think Luna is legit. The reason I unvoted is two fold 1) Keychain and others has a valid point about possibility and 2) I am busy prepping for a surgery I will have soon, getting a lot of personal affairs in order and working a ton of overtime to hit some dates. This is common sense. I've balanced enough games to know that 3:1 is a pretty good town to scum ratio that you aim for. Take for instance 13 player games, they will almost always be 10:3, a 3.3:1 ratio, very close to 3:1. With an 18 player game a 14:4 ratio equates to 3.5:1 and you're way more likely to throw an extra player or two on the town side. An extra scum is way more game changing than an extra town, so you'll go with the less swinging option of a couple of bonus VTs here.

This is mafia game design 101

Go try to get a game that's 9:4 or 13:5 past the normal review group. They won't let it fly unless town has some serious power and scum are very weak. If you keep it 14:4 It allows for a better game. Both sides have power roles this way and aren't completely fucked if an important guy dies because they can still win with dayplay.

And with 2 town PRs dead, I dont see a 15:3 being a real possibility. Nobody wants to play that anyways.

So here's why this hammer wasn't that bad:
Firstly, I have a history of doing this stuff on occasion in games and it's not alignment indicative at all. I probably do it more as town than scum.

Secondly, there were already 9 votes on that wagon and somebody called for a hammer. There was town support behind that lynch.

Thirdly, Luna Nova was more interested in a. Lurking and b. Whining about the wagon instead of being actually productive. They weren't going to show up and be townie all of the sudden.

4th, we had 73 pages worth of info covered already and a day that had lasted about 10 weeks. If somebody was interested in saying something, they'd had plenty of time. And even if I did prevent them from saying something, they can still post it tomorrow in all likelihood.

5. I'm progressing the game. It's going to hurt town enthusiasm, scare off replacements, and drag the game down the longer that day goes on. It went from a point of productive content to tons of useless fluff that we didn't need. I'm giving us valuable information by getting a lynch accomplished and allowing us to move forward in the game. This is a good thing, not bad.

Those are all strong mitigating factors that really erase any chance of that being alignment indicative towards scum. Then take the minor offense on point 1 And the offensive point 5 and you're maintaining and strengthening a townread on me. Sure, on the surface it didn't look great, but at the end of the day it's good to progress the game.
