yeah if I had known what the setup was, I wouldn't have replaced in

one of the single most disheartening things I could ever imagine happening this game is feeling like I'm playing well, then suddenly one day it's revealed there's like 6 conftowns on the same day I claim a fruit

even if this setup is balanced in theory, it's horrible to try to play as scum since you have to play a very good night game

Yeah, I hardcore outed Tet as RCEnigma Day 1 because I stayed

The only possible way that Tet could be town playing the way he was was if he was RCE.

I was sad when Beazu came out with literally only like minutes left and hammered Almost. I was gonna suicide anyway but I wanted to make that slot atleast questioned. That and I misread Fire's ISO and assumed everyone would scumread him anyway. I'm still doing that regardless of alignment though cuz it's funny and it kills another tell from being used.

A game that starts with 3 IC's and what's basically a Masonizor? Yeah if i knew that was the Set up I would've avoided it like the plague.

In terms of set-up stuff:

scum had the tools they needed to identify power roles in the form of their role cop
the alien allowed them to create fake-guilties based on the loyal neighborizer's role

we figured disloyal fv wasn't actually that strong of an invest (schadd had mentioned that claiming fruit a received fruit isn't something that happens all the time and there would be a ton of paranoia over any "clears")
motion detector is generally a p weak role imo as well

loyal neighborizer is p OP in hindsight?? gating that would've probably brought this closer to balanced for sure but a role like neighborizer can be outted so easily and a role like alien could certainly create a fake guilty leading to a mislynch

i think i want to take a more minimalist approach to modding normals going forward after seeing the results of this game

granted losing three scum in a row is basically gonna create some insurmountable odds anyways so

i don't think this is as horribly lopsided as it looks but im sorry for any scum players for being put into what they perceived as an unwinnable situation :l

yeah it's kinda hard to call the setup explicitly townsided by play when scum lost 3 of their roles b2b2b :c I do think the rate of alignment indicative night results kinda snowballed here in a way that was hugely swingy but a lot can be attributed to the scumteam's play

02 Town Mason - Quite redundant with IC
03 Town Mason - Quite redundant with IC
04 Town Loud Babysitter - Preeettty fine considering it could be negative utility for town
05 Town Disloyal Fruit Vendor - Fine considering it can also lead to false innos
06 Town Motion Detector - Fine considering it almost doesn't tell shit
07 Town Loyal Neighborizer - Probably the most annoyingly OP role in the game

It's not the amount of PRs the problem, it's the amount of conftown.

It wasn't unwinnable, but I think Ank's right that scum need to get the nightplay right to have any chance. The loyal neighborizer basically needs to die or be jailkept after a few nights or it will absolutely run away with the game.

I don't think the setup by itself is extremely townsided, it just has a lot of conditions to make the game very demoralizing for scum

there's a very high bar scum have to hit in order to have a pretty good shot with this setup and town require much less in order for it to be incredibly strong
