The Curse of Rata Mall - Hardware Store

A place where you can get discounted hardware as well as Appliances. Or at least it used to be. It looks like it used to cater for both consumers of PC hardware and gadgets, but also cabling, and other interesting things

This is a combination store - it used to sell hammers, nails and hardware AS well as Consumer goods such as coffee machines.

Present are:
Nexus
is Cindy Rose: Female, Late 20s Red hair, freckly, medium build. Wearing T-shirt and Jeans. Bi Focal glasses
(Formerly FarSide22)

Zag
is Mark Knorp: Male, Mid-Late 60s Short, to the point of dwarven, Hunchbacked, Two large lumps on face, one under and around the eye. Muscular.

There are lots of shelves, drawers, and boxes here. An old treadmill in the corner, and there is the persistent ticking of a clock on the wall. An old VCR is for sale, heavily rediscounted for the thirteenth time. Its currently playing Die Hard on the a television set (CRT) connected to it, and old style rabbit ears. The floor is dusty as are the shelves. Theres a sales desk as well, but no PC on the desk.

Note: The kettle shown on map is now gone. (Ill update the map when I get chance later)

Room Deadline
(expired on 2020-09-07 08:00:00).

If only there were any hammers left - they've already been taken.

The cabinets contain an open safe.

The best I can give you is that the CCTV may have once had something useful, but it appears to have been smashed up with some kind of bat.

The room has a light switch, but of course that affects just this room.

There are a huge variety of cables in here. Take your pick: lpt1, usb, power cables for a variety of countries, any kind of cable you can imagine. Anything you want really.

Hmm. That was the next place I was going to head.

Get a large roll of shielded twisted pair cable, which should be strong enough to hold my weight.

It's unusual to go this long without a response from Amb. I hope everything's all right.

Zag collects a 3 cables, and quickly braids them in a way that should hold his weight. It will be long enough for what I think he intends to do with it.

The clock is battery enabled. There are two batteries in it, which you pocket.

Well, I'll go check it out. Maybe there's still something in there. Perhaps the LEDs can be scavenged, and I could rig up something.
