i agree with that sentiment, i let my emotion get the best of me. scum do indeed try to rush shit.

A couple things read strongly town to me, the first being that scum rarely get over-emotional and do things they regret. Like, as town you're just following who you think is scum and voting them pretty much. But as scum you need to be aware of the gamestate and how you come off. I think it's very believable that koba got over-emotional here as town, since I often get frustrated when someone SRs me and my SR when I'm town, and react similarly to this. I also know that koba hates ending the day early so the response fits. But as scum they wouldn't have made 361 to begin with because there's no reason to end up in a position where you have to defend yourself. They would've had to make a dumb mistake.

I can find more stuff later I'm just tired as hell. But reread the pushes on you and gimli and think about what koba is trying to accomplish as scum there and whether their emotion matches up with that.

first of all, thank you everyone for playing, a special thank you to people willing to replace in, and a shout out to my backup mod georgebailey.

while critique of any aspect of my modding is always appreciated and encouraged, i am especially interested in your feedback about this setup. this was a test run so to speak, and ideally i would like to run it again. should some mechanics of the setup be changed? at what numbers should each of the alignments start out? is the concept of

Even thinking about how the game's segmentations could have been different to reach the town victory scenario, I still see Raya/Ahsoka managing to manipulate the gamestate back to the right place.

So yeah, there was no chance of winning for town.

I hate how well flavor played this game. I feel like I can't TR him for anything anymore.

I think his play here was good and I don't think he has crossed any ethical limits.

You have to evaluate differently from one game to the other, otherwise it'll become confbias.

Yeah, I'm pretty happy with this game.

I think the Raya-Ahsoka block was really strong, but I don't think it was unwinnable for town based on setup, we just set the game up pretty well.

We were ready to be pushed by Infinity/Dkkoba, and they couldn't really push us without coming across as scummy themselves, and then we momentum swung it and Amelie went Gimli so we could get Infinity/Not Mafia votes.

Yeah it's just not really valid to TR someone when you know it's out of their scumrange anyway. You can analyze motivation like I was trying to do at the end, but it becomes impratical pretty quickly in a complex game.

PEdit: yeah good shit. In retrospect my reasons to TR amelie there were dumb, but you had the votes to do basically whatever you wanted and me TRing amelie just locked it in.

In 7v3, let's say you mislim town d1. Then town gets 2 more chances even if you publish, which probably makes it correct to publish. Say town lims 1 scum and 1 town from there, both in the group of 5. You end up with 4 town, 2 scum, divided into 2 group with 1 scum each. From there it's pretty townsided, so I'd say that the setup would be townsided overall.

Maybe remove the doom counter aspect, but make it so town can only use the list once? The problem is that scum can win really easily without losing a member, but as the game goes on town can PoE down really well because of the list.

To be fair, when I create Micro games, I usually do it in a way where if scum play a great game, they win on Day 2. Day 3 if they play an alright game. Day 4+ scraping by, and I do feel this fits that. I kinda like the Doom Counter, publishing the list should bring some kind of repercussion.

Maybe I'll ask murdercat to simulate a few variations of this. It does feel scumsided as is but it's a tough one to balance.

Yeah, it might be a little, but it's pretty close.

Main reason I think it's scumsided is because of the 3 scum, but we do get pigeonholed with the list if not done correctly, but I don't think it's that scum sided. The list can really hurt us.

I don't think it's that off. Had you gotten one of us, you'd likely get a second, bringing it down to the final.
