Catching up with the building bricks as there’s been a lot of posts.

When I was working on my local env special fields could disappear if someone messed up posts.

Gonna start reading backwards to try to avoid hyperposting. Anything in particular I should look at?

no? It seems like there's been way more cohesion ITG than in most games. It feels like most of the votes have been on HEM, Wu, Fua, Nord.
Datisi as well.

I have a good feeling it’s probably a lot of scum.

Both I believe are a bit strange for different reasons, definitely would flip Nord over Wu, but I do kinda think Wu just kinda has been a nonpresence in the game.

Why in the hell would you claim now then? The wagon on you is clearly about your predecessor being obnoxious.

You can understand why I think this is fake.
Because nearly every player has voted and the wagons are me and my mason partner and d1 is the most foundational part of the game. People get opinions set in stone.

It’s actually good.

I am not always the best with reads as town.

If I eat a bullet or monkey does then scum waste their shot on not as good town and we don’t lose me today and monkey tonight or vice versa.

As soon as one of us flips mason the other almost always dies.

Plus with monkey being inactive ish then the other PRs as this is a large are free to act.

It’s win win.

I think a good PoE is Datisi, tene, Wu, and Nero.

That should have a lot of scum. It’s not the entire list just with a game this size gotta narrow focus.

I also don’t like how people aren’t talking Datisi. Does anyone townread him?

Like from the VCs it seems pretty clear that Wu/Datisi were being wagoned then scum tried to shift off one/both to me.

Does anyone disagree with that summary?

Wait, why though?

I feel like there was still plenty of time to wait for the wagons to shift away from you guys.
That’s time scum are in control and town are mislead

There was good scum in control of the game at my replace in.

Generally you have to destroy good scum early and fuck with plans.

1. your wagon wasn't very significant once nordom replaced out. i don't think it was going anywhere. monkey one was tho, it was shifting towards monkey vs wu. datisi actually had a decent amount of votes at various points but i don't think he is generally scumread, doubt it would have been a lim there. maybe I'm biased there tho cause I scumread most of the people on his wagon. i also don't think it's clear or guaranteed at all that wu/datisi were the main wagons and scum shifted to you/monkey. things were still pretty fluid, and obviously there is the possibility that all 4 of those are town in which case scum wouldn't care which wagon was leading.

2. i don't. pretty neutral on him. thought he was a LHF wagon but ended up kinda coming around to thinking he could be a decent lim. still don't really scumread him tho

3. i've thought tene was scum basically all game, has nothing to do with you
Then join the Wu wagon?

If we go with your assumption (which a mod VCA doesn’t seem to support) then the monkey wagon v Wu is either TvS or TvT.

Knowing which illuminates what happened there.

If you disagree those (Wu/Datisi) were the main wagons which happened?

NAGL = not a good luck.

VCs posted by mods dispute your post fire.

There’s been wagons on Datisi if there’s been some on Wu.

This is just bad posting

But that many votes on policy elims means scum don’t want the active wagons.

Datisi on e-5 for 300+ posts is a wagon.
E-4 is arbitrary cutoff

It’s possible Datisi was e-4 during those posts but it’s beside the point to check.

Wagons were happening

They were not getting policied, people were voting them since they scumread them

I just think a lot of people were scumreading them because the posts were distasteful without realizing that the scumread was stemming from there
Some probably. But considering north of half the game moved from Datisi/Wu to HEM/me this means scum also did it. Thus implying one or more Datisi/Wu scum
Otherwise scum get brownie points for stopping the wagons they didn’t take.

Datisi/Wu are more threats than inactives.
This movement doesn’t make sense unless one of them is scum.

i especially like the "hum de dum I'm gonna go hunt scum in a VC" and then coming back with "oh NO me and my mason partner are the lead wagons?? whaaat??" for extra dramatic effect
I didn’t know the VC or have read. It’s always standard to crumb your mason partner minimum.

Again if you have issues with how I play save it for post game. We’re not elimming me or Monkey ever so this is spam.

You were literally two weeks ago in a game where town fakeclaimed masons with scum, being in a mason claim doesnt absolve you of your play
What play needs absolving?
Stopped miselim
Took control back from scum
Making scum wagon others

I think that’s good play.

My predecessor was an asshole
And monkey was painted to be scummy but wasn’t

The only thing that’s bad (read not scummy) is jumping the gun on claim but that’s more an opinion.

I like how they’ve responded to my replace in and posts and just answer questions cooperatively. The VC doesn’t seem to imply them scum which with a game this broad is good enough for me.

I really think Wu is scum based on Wu’s responses. Their posts don’t seem right to me combined with the VCs don’t sit right

Sometimes it’s early townreads or something both players do early

VOTE: Wu

If I had a vig I would shoot tene based on Datisi’s and fire’s early votes.
If you had a big, you would be better served reading the game before you start spitting bullets.

This is also true of your loud and aggressive takes on a game you have no context for.
I am reading the game.

I am also playing the game while reading.

Your votes seemed bad.

If Wu was town I would expect more scum to buddy me and less counter wagons attempting to be starting.

This was at one point but 7 players

It’s hard to demonstrate all this on mobile and I am about to go to bed.

Nero naked voted me
VP joined HEM

This means scum likely joined HEM to avoid wagon
Skitter and Yeet on Datisi
VP if I have to guess is the bad townie

You’re not addressing the substance of why I think one of Datisi/Wu are scum though.

You’re referencing an irrelevant game

I don’t see why scum move from both Datisi/Wu onto HEM/me. Why?
ok, looking at the progression of votes on those four players:

- datisi (4), monkey (3), wu (0), monkey (0)
- wu (4), datisi (3), monkey (2), nordom (0)
- datisi (5), monkey (3), wu (1), nordom (0)
- datisi (5), nordom (3), monkey (2), wu (1)
- datisi (4), nordom (4), monkey (2), wu (1)
- monkey (5), datisi (3), wu (2), nordom (1)
- monkey (6), nordom (4), wu (2), datisi (1)

saying that there were clear leading wagons of datisi/wu and that scum moved things to you/monkey is not backed up at all by what happened. monkey wagon came before wu. wu wagon, by the VCs, was actually never very prominent. there was one point out of 7 VCs where datisi/wu were the two leading ones, but it's super arbitrary to pick out that one.

the shift of things onto wu lately is actually the most interesting thing here, imo
This argument reinforces Wu scum even more. This isn’t the shining bullet you think it is.

what makes you (someone coming in with prior info about his alignment, therefore making you completely unable to honestly gauge how suspicious he looks) the arbiter of what is scummy and what is not? you can't just declare that someone wasn't scummy when there was, by definition, town voting for them

A catalyst lowers the activation energy of a reaction so that the reaction can proceed faster. For example, enzymes are biological catalysts. Carbonic anhydrase is an enzyme that catalyzes the reaction H2O + CO2 -> H2CO3. It works by using zinc to stabilize the transition state of the reaction. What sort of catalyst do you think is in this game?

I am going to have a busy day at work so might as well call it for more reading.

But yeah we need to focus on those wagoning monkey and me
If you disagree on Wu focus there

The sheer numbers make it so. 10/19 players on me and Monkey.

Scum are on me and Monkey.
They didn’t push you/Wu hard
So yes scum is likely in the pair of you
Otherwise no need to invent a push on my predecessor who was annoying not scum
HEM was/is inactive and new not scummy

I feel like no one wants to look at where they were wrong: eg HEM and Me
And that “but it’s justified” gives them an out either not to look where they were wrong or keep their reads.

i will let you in on a secret

a super secret maf agenda that 99% of people who play maf follow

this is their main priority and what motivates almost all of their actions

Spoiler: secret maf agenda
try to look like town

and guess what doesn't mesh well with that agenda? manipulation and orchestration and strategy! really really good scum can do both at the same time, but i hate to break it to you, most people are not that good at scum, and are too busy treading water trying to not get suspected to worry about your grand ideas of strategy and organizing moves off wagons and all that.
That’s bad scum play imho
The Mafiascum wiki (authored by Mastina) says that’s bad play
I am not sure where you got that impression but scum aren’t town and do better not forcing things.

She’s way more defensive than offensive than I care for.

Plus Ari is known for good reads and hers have been bad.

Like Ari was saying the HEM wagon feels Townie
But yet she isn’t been offensive on the people on my wagon.

She seems off.

perhaps the two of you should figure out a narrative that makes sense in your mason pt and not waste my time with nonsense ok? ;)

I am not asking for your reasoning to be based on VCA.
You believe the mason claim (as you should as it’s the truth).
Therefore there is likely scum on the wagons.

That’s it. That’s not analyzing votes.
That’s just who is scum on those wagons?

The reasoning doesn’t have to relate to the vote on HEM or me at all

I do want to elim on either HEM wagon or my wagon.

I have a broad area and see who people want to push.

You should have a scumread in that PoE.

My vote is on you right now. So if you insist on an answer you but it’s really you that should provide reads.

If you are going to claim 1 scum in 10 means we should elim in the 10, um just by math that's wrong?
I am not claiming a number

I am claiming there’s likely a decent number.

If I have to guess 3? But I don’t like guessing.

A good chunk. Definitely worthy of focus.

I clearly don’t believe 1 in 10

Then she needs to push a scumread in that 10.

Or acknowledge her reads are wrong and doing a reset and showing effort of it.

she refused to do what math told her to (push someone that was on the math/monkey wagon) and she voted scorp
I sort of figured this was Math being loud.

I'm utterly confused how people can look at the Wu wagon falling apart a second time and not see that as scummy. By all accounts, Wu should be LHF that scum are eager to hammer through, yet it has stalled repeatedly at the cusp of being serious -- even though Nero and others were flipping a shit earlier today about how scummy Wu is and how much they wanted him dead if it were not for people defending Wu. If at any point you said Wu is scum...WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU NOT VOTING WU.

Math is getting taken for a ride again because he is loud and refuses to listen to anything but his own theories about the game. Math, I'm trying to work with you here. We will get a lot of information out of this Wu flip. Please work with me.

I saw Math say somethin about HEM making some kind of convincing case about Ari in their PT....If it's good, then fucking post it. If it is anything like the arguments HEM was making earlier in the game, I am skeptical.

This game has quickly become a clown show of terrible play and it is annoying me.
I have been trying to work with people.
Being loud is not the same as uncooperative.
I am working with Nero and Fua who I townread.
I agree a Wu flip is info and why if Ari falls apart I want Wu.

However human being a newer less active player deserves the chance to explain their read and play.
People were skeptical because scum run good defense.

I think Ari not voting Wu if she flips red gives definite ammo towards a Wu flip.

Actually, I was pushing for Wu or HEM flip, and that's where the day was heading, not toward both the masons getting wagoned. You just didn't read the game before you claimed.

I'm not even mad at you for claiming. Whatever. Not how I would have played it, but I get where you're coming from. It's the same logic as our last game when I cleared A50.

But listen, you spamming the thread to make the same points again and again is not helpful. You only need to say it once. The beauty of forum mafia is that your words are immortalized forever and people can refer back to them.

When I say loud, I mean you spam the thread and say the same things repeatedly and insist you're right even if lots of other people disagree. It's exhausting and makes catching up impossible for people.

I'm trying to work with you. if you have an actual Ari case, post that shit.
The only people disagreeing are in my scum PoE and you.

There’s a wagon on Ari for a reason

WHAT IS THE REASON FOR THE ARI WAGON?????????

Like I asked for this case more than once, and "she argued with Hem and doesn't vote WU" is not a fucking case. So ELI5

And I'm talking to you because you're 50% of the posts in a LARGE GAME since you entered. If you would chill the fuck out and stop trying to big dick energy the whole game, we could land somewhere good today. There have been 12+ pages added since I got up 5 hours ago, and you can't tell me that is quality work happening in those pages because I read half of them before I had to come here to the future and plead with you to have some sense.

I already explained it like you’re 5.

I can’t shut up while you talk to me it’s a vicious cycle.

You deliberately ignored 3-4 other reasons and just that.
Ari being inconsistent with scumreads ignored
Ari defending scum tells ignored
And it’s quality work from scum trying to avoid elimming Ari.

And please stop using genitalia in a game.

If people would stop misrepping me and actually listen this wouldn’t be happening
But scum don’t want Ari elimmed

And if I shut up people won’t vote Ari

So it’s lose lose if I shut up

So my only hope is to try to keep explaining and hope people quit ignoring it

I do not understand why you are upset with me for trying to help you correct a misstep in your thinking.

Not everyone in the game is scum. Some of us have honest opinions. The whole game is not about you and undermining you specifically.
I am just angry in general
Anytime I try to cooperate
The people who I disagree with say I am uncooperative and it is always a shit show
Every time I try something new it’s the same fucking result

People ask me to make theories I can’t know
Rather than stick with the facts scum are on both masons
And instead come up with quite frankly ridiculous reasons to vote who I am cooperative with.

Like fire and tene make sense because they at least summarize what I am saying
But the rest is just “out of context” and “weird” and “skewed”.

The more convinced I am Ari is scum.

I’d prefer Ari/Wu/Fua

Monkey really thinks Ari is scum and I don’t want that lost.

And if people don’t misrep me I am fine with shutting up.

Because they can be wrong too…?
What’s more likely? An entire group of Mith level (to borrow someone else’s words) collectively as a group (not singing out Ari) flub the game badly then when confronted go “no you”
Or

I'd like to see a dead Skitter or Ari's rep the most. Maybe Fua is scum that was buddying me. Don't really care that much about Wu staying alive.
How did I see this coming!

Can confirm, we are in a neighborhood. Nero has been poking around revealing to the thread for awhile now, and he is either dumbass town or scum trying to get ahead of the ball here.

Not much has happened in the hood. There was one weird interaction before the game started where skitter did some shading of Cape that I didn't care for, but Nero's play in game has been much scummier and I think he's very jittery for being town.

If I had to guess, the scum in the neighborhood is between Nero and skitter, but I'm not at all certain.
Oh wait Ari repped out.

Votes on her are useless.

Skitter or Wu I guess

I wish we would have just flipped Ari though

Yeah, what you're saying is fair here. There has to be some scum in there when that is half the town.

Did ari say both the mason wagons are pure? If so I missed that in the pages I didn't read
She explicitly said HEM wagon pure
Then refused to push in the wagon on me.
Instead she posts a readwall with Wu who she said was town earlier
And votes Scorpio

That is a gist before anyone yells at me in case Scorpio was voted before the wall.

what does this mean?

and like, the rest of your post could be easily explained by different circumstances that precedent, especially for what i imagine happened in the mason pt, but

idk if i have it in me rn to argue
It’s a word tell.

Skitter gets “pings” when town.
I don’t see that here for her
ok i was gonna make fun of this cause it doesn't say anything about whether she gets "pings" as maf, but instead i decided to just go check some recent games

slaughter hour (maf): 0 pings, 350 posts
open 841 (town): 11 pings, 1073 posts
micro 1035 (town): 3 pings, 295 posts
mini 2254 (town): 1 ping, 77 posts
mini 2247 (maf): 1 ping, 130 hydra posts
mini normal 2224 (maf): 0 pings, 50 posts
open 779 (town): 7 pings, 305 posts

this game: 1 ping, 130 posts

so maybe she does actually get pings less as maf. but her pings per post (ppp) as town is like 1 per 100 posts and she's kinda on pace with that so idk if it's conclusive. but this was fun at least

ping ping ping ping
I have no idea how you all even come up with this stuff
I am on the spectrum so much as I wish I was NT I sometimes notice certain patterns. I have to care about pings for my job. So using the word ping stands out to me. Kinda like a little I look forward to it.

Like what was the point? There was plenty of room to start talking yourselves out of the wagon. Instead MathBlade just decided with like half the required votes on you guys not even halfway into D1 to just throw out the mason bomb immediately.

Pretty much this.
Scum were in control of the game and the only way I saw to change that was claim.

@Skitter Why immediately hop to fire and not Frogsterking or be confused as both names start with F?

@Fua Why not jump on this?

I did.
I don’t see where you called out Skitter for assuming Fire over Frog. Can you link me? Y’all are rapid posting

This reads like SvS who had a precalculated fight. I think fua and Skitter can both die.

Well we can start with fua

Okay, vote out the claimed vigilante who received no CC and wasn’t shot last night who also immediately received suspicion because there was no shot.
How about instead of playing defense do offense? If you think Skitter is scum who with?

What do you make of fire validating my scum tell theory on D1?

3 people immediately hopped on me for there being only one NK despite the fact that me being RBed is much more likely than me deciding to claim a role that can immediately verify itself on the next night and can be easily CCed during the day AND during night in case a vig doesn’t feel like outing during the day when I could have gone for some other much easier role that would have been much, much harder to disprove. There are far too many risks I would have to take to even begin to claim Vig over something like BG, Doc, etc.
This is bad. Will explain when not early in am. Please stop doing defense if you’re town. I think your defense here sucks. Instead please be constructive and forward facing.
