individually i feel like both could be scum and i don't really know how to tell which one is. maybe my heart still doesn't believe that obscure was scum. or that skitter was scum. if i was only reading mena then id prob think he's scum so...idk, maybe the previous two just played it well

i really didn't like the way SS handled the invictus comparison bc i think this feels a lot like invictus mena where he was super disengaged and only popped in every once in a while and just seemed kinda... unaware of what was going on and was putting very little stake in the game. saying that his lack of presence here was possibly scum-indicative felt really wrong to me

I mean he was very vocal to me that he was super busy and had stuff going on irl. When I made that comparison he hadn't said anything about that this game. He did later say something about being sick, but then he said he felt better and he still hasn't done anything.

I mean, I'm not unwilling to have a convo, but I feel like my thoughts on Mena have been pretty clear. I had real trouble reading his predecessor, I liked his response to the reaction test, but I don't like that he hasn't done anything. I'm wary of the two of us being chain limmed, but I don't really have an interest in shielding him if he's not going to do anything (which could very well be antispew).

Or at the very least, I don't think the play here remotely looks like the scum play. So like, yeah is it possible frogster has gained +1000skill points since that scum game, maybe but I don't think its particularly likely.

Idk they feel a lot less sincere to me than they did at the beginning of the day but maybe that's just a reflection of my just general wanting this day to be over more than anything else.

which scum game did you read? large normal 238 he made a lot of efforts to match aspects of his play to aspects of his townplay, more than i remembered. he is def aware of the differences

heh, I'm kind of the opposite, I have more reasons to townread Mena than the other two. I still think everything I posted about obscure in 5362 and 5627 holds up

I wanted to give Mena an opportunity to redeem the slot but if this is the level of effort/engagement he is going to offer then I don't think I'll ever get to a point of comfortably townreading there even if it is town

same feeling about both feeling scummy and not being sure how to discern between them though - every time Smart comes back to thread and chooses like one tiny particular thing to comment on or react to, it makes me want to yeet him for not proactively offering thoughts on the gamestate at large, especially if he is so concerned about a double town chain lim, he's barely doing anything to convince us not to do it

in fairness, Mena is sick. So that could be why his posting is lacking and it's not necessarily AI. but he's a cummy vt and a p good d3 lim regardless of alignment. And if he's sick he needs to be in bed getting better and not worrying about this game. Tis a mercy hammer.
