i think you played well too, esp. capturing pooky very early on, as well as being obvtown enuf to not get flipped

i would not have claimed doc here (like i said even with just the crumbs i got it within something like two posts), and i think you could have been a little more focused on trying to read people on play vs mechanics (i.e. we could have exploited you wanting to flip val/fire yesterday)

Ah gg. My wifom/paranoia kinda got the best of me this game especially towards the end. But glad it worked out and we trusted the PoE and just went with it. Thanks to everyone else in the town for closing it out when I wasn’t really there.

Scum team all three of you gave me a ton of doubt at every turn, props for that.

Pooky noted on the polarization part. To explain myself a little bit (because it did sort of cross my mind when I said it, that it might come off as trust telling, but I ultimately decided it wasn’t) I didn’t think I was trust telling because to me trust telling is doing something specific on purpose as one alignment. “I can’t play like this as scum” feels vague and nonspecific enough that it could be debateable I can “play like this” as scum. I know you can read me like a book immediately but I get surprisingly far as scum for lol reasons. But I will try to stop saying those kinds of things. It’s possible I am misunderstanding trust tell as well, I’m more than happy to talk openly about this issue

I don’t really play polarized on purpose, I put a similar amount of mental effort into all games (maybe even more as scum). It just so happens that it comes off as 100% on my town games (play to win this game, not a future game), and putting in the same amount of effort for scum games comes out to about 50% trying. Me going 100% on a scum game would be very mentally exhausting for me. This is why I took a break/messed around with an alt or two because of this issue, honestly I don’t know what I’m going to do about it going forward.

I don’t think I would gotten skitter as scum if it weren’t for just the sheer PoE. She did a bunch of non scum!motivated things that I didn’t think scum would do but I should’ve realized earlier the lacklusterness was likely just knowing she would die a slow death.

Also I meant it when I said it was very pleasant playing with each and every one of you! So thanks for the game and hopefully we can play again soon together (whenever that happens to be for me)

Also agree this was an enjoyable game and playerlist, and I liked the creative mechanics despite the swinginess. Giving the IC something to do was pretty good way to make the Ic role enjoyable fwiw.

I think removing the doctor could be enough to make it balanced in future variations.

It was mostly being lazy and demoralized. It is interesting to note how that got read by other people tho, you did have a post at some point making the same point so i did lean into that vibe after that slightly too but tbh i wasnt trying too hard

I think D2 was pretty good until the possible alignment share with Pooky. I think if you had distanced or not pinged me I think you get a kill possibly. I think not getting kills as scum can be brutal unless you play around it intentionally

I don’t know if just taking out doctor makes this game balanced
Maybe replace doctor with ninja tracker instead?
I feel taking out doctor completely swings this in other direction hard since only the JK can really do anything while scum just rolls through town and town only has one person that can do anything useful
Making a tracker at least let’s someone prove the jk and if scum go for Toto early then they get punished by being able to be spotted by the tracker and watcher
