Repping into the slot I did, I felt I needed to play my Drew town game since I already had suspicion.

If it wasn't for some horrible luck on the NK, we might have pulled it off.

Also, we killed Sky......I died a bit when Bingle said it would be terrible for scum to kill them. Was my call, they seemed so meh and null I couldn't see them as scum.

I think there needs to be something to balance out exactly what happened N1 here.

Cause it is a super uphill battle for scum at that point.

I'd love to see the setup run again, maybe if scum don't blow each other up immediately it's not so hard on a wolf

i keep forgetting merlyn is in this game btw.
Not as in i didn't know she is a player here but more as though i thought she replaced out and skygazer had her slot and i don't know why i thought that and kept going 'wait why is meryln slot alive and she is posting'

Maybe my intuition is picking up that Meryln and Skygazer are aligned as mafia in some weird way that makes no sense.

I find this post really funny in hindsight

also my only team analysis from yesterday when i said drew/meryln aren't the team is equally funny

I enjoyed the setup I think, this was one of my first times with the lovers dynamic and it was very fun to solve

I think it was surprisingly quite different from normal mafia. Like I had specific theories about how scum would have to play d1 and I think they ended up being somewhat decent theories

maybe mafia could use something like n0 peeks? Like already knowing these 1-2 people are town from the go. off the top of my head. That might not be the best idea it’s 1:30 am

Yeah my take is that mafia could use some sort of nudge in their favor

like pregame peeks, or like, if they find/guess the other pair they have the chance to link up at least? maybe stacking kills doesn’t cancel each other out?

like maybe my experience was skewed too much by n1 going well lol, but I found mafia lovers in bigger open setup to be much more town-favored than I personally expected. I was able to sit down for an hour or so on the last day and Literally solve the game, like conclude correctly what the exact team basically had to be (even if my process wasn’t super clear and fluent in thread) which I very very very much am incapable of in other sorts of mafia games

But nah, this was a super fun setup, and we got there in the end. The idea of splitting the scumteam creates a super interesting dynamic here, and as much as I was correct about Drew, I don't know that I would have gotten to Meuh or Skygazer the same way.
