Rules

1. All sitewide rules apply. Do not break them.

8. One bah post is allowed. The post may not contain anything considered game content.
9. Each day phase will last 10 days and each night phase will last 2 days.
10. Players who have not posted content for 36 hours will receive a prod. I will not accept prod dodges. After receiving a prod, a player has 24 hours to post before I will begin seeking a replacement. If a player receives three prods they will be replaced. I define content as something relevant to the game that engages with it or any player. It can be one sentence as long as it's relevant and engaged.
11. Players on V/LA will be exempt from the prod rules above.
12. Use vote tags or bold tags to place votes. As long as it can be reasonably interpreted as a vote I will accept it. It must be clear who the vote is voting for to be accepted - nicknames or misnames will not work. Do not attempt to use this rule to engage in vote trickery. Examples of acceptable votes:

13. Players may vote to end the phase without an elimination. Do this by voting for a noelim (see below).

I am thinking hypo claims could be a good idea for this setup.

On day 2, everyone claims either seer or cop with an innocent on another player. Don't claim a guilty as a fake claim. If somebody has a real guilty, we should instead skip the hypo phase and h ave them claim for real. If nobody has a guilty, we should all provide cover for the claim. In this setup, even if you have an inno on somebody, they can still be an anti-town player if the other faction was roles relative to your role, so that eases the burden of everyone having to pretend that their fake inno is clear to them.

The advantage to this setup is that we know who is inno in case the important pr is killed at night. The downside is that it splits players into seers and cops and allows the anti-town faction to kill in one half to try to remove our functional pr faster.

Actually it doesn’t because like, either we’re in lylo tomorrow and massclaim, or we flip a scum today and we already know which cop has value

This is an improvement to the strategy. It prevents scum from picking a side to eliminate while still accomplishing what was set out to do.

I think we should hypo claim as an 'investigative role' instead of 'seer/cop' so that they can't split us?

I meant one of them is useless in the sense that one of them cannot discern Scum, making their ability useless. They could claim the role but they couldn't really offer verifiable information.

Agreed with hypoclaiming inno results without saying if cop/seer.

I'd actually argue against massclaim if we're elo tomorrow, at least, I think it's worth considering not massclaiming. The advantage of a possible extra day of Cop/Seer results outweighs the advantage of narrowing the scum pool. If we use FoS rather than actual votes then the Cop or Seer still have a chance to claim and avoid being limmed.

I suppose arguing against that is that if we do massclaim and Cop and/or Seer aren't cc-ed then knowing they're town might help us with reads.

If we do end up mass claiming tomorrow, we can have also have our prs claim "investigative" instead of seer or cop, and if there are only 2 claims they don't need to say which one they are that day.
