Q19: Other than Las Vegas, name three cities that are famous for their casinos.

Atlantic City (12):
Cephrir, Farren, Haschel Cedricson, Iprobablysuck, JerryArr, mallowgeno, Merlyn, pablito, racefan12, Skygazer, SleepyKrew, VashtaNeurotic
Monaco/Monte Carlo (9):
biancospino, Cephrir, Haschel Cedricson, JerryArr, mallowgeno, Merlyn, pablito, racefan12, Skygazer
Reno (9):
Farren, Haschel Cedricson, Iprobablysuck, mallowgeno, Merlyn, pablito, Skygazer, SleepyKrew, VashtaNeurotic
Hong Kong (4):
Aureal, DeasVail, JerryArr, Silverclaw
Macau (4):
Cephrir, N, Silverclaw, SleepyKrew
Carson City (2):
Iprobablysuck, VashtaNeurotic
London (2):
Cheery Dog, Silverclaw
Los Angeles (2):
Datisi, DeasVail
New York (2):
Datisi, DeasVail

Non-scoring answers

Amsterdam: N
Brazil: Cheery Dog
Campione d'Italia: biancospino
Chicago: Datisi
Dubai: Aureal
Jersey City: N
Mumbai: Cheery Dog
Paris: Farren
Rio de Janeiro: racefan12
Taipei: Aureal
Venice: biancospino

Irrelevant players

StrangerCoug (25): Macau, Monte Carlo, Atlantic City

For Venice, the answer biancospino actually submitted was Venezia; that's what Venice is called in Italian.

As you can see, though, not that many places out there well-known for them. That might explain why we have
FIVE
perfect scores this time, the most for an open-ended question so far this game—from Haschel Cedricson, mallowgeno, Merlyn, pablito, and Skygazer!

Cheery Dog wasn't lucky this time with only 2 points, and he drops to level 5.

Wow I thought for sure I was done. That may as well have been "name three real planets that have sentient life other than Earth". Though I think I may have come up with Atlantic City given more time, as my head kept wanting to tell me Atlanta, and this morning I remembered that place and thought maybe it was what my vague headspace might've been telling me.

BTW you mean Cheery Dog has 2, not N. The table is correct

I would have guessed Monaco, but I thought Monaco was the name of the country and not the name of the city, and I didn't know the name of the city.

Turns out, the name of the city is also Monaco.

Yep :) Monte Carlo is technically a ward within Monaco, which is why I grouped those together.

When I gave out the prod reminders, I forgot to include Datisi due to mod error, and scoring now would result in what I feel would be his unfair elimination. He will be given 24 more hours from when I PM him; everyone else is already in and their answers are locked.

Datisi's answers are in; revealing results shortly.

In addition, Merlyn notified me that she got an activity strike for not responding to question 11 despite me not prodding her; to extend the same level of fairness, I am removing an activity strike from her and putting her back on level 3.

Q20: Name the three things that you spend the most money every year on replacing or refilling.

Fuel/Gas/Petrol for car (17):
Aureal, biancospino, Cephrir, Cheery Dog, Datisi, DeasVail, Farren, Iprobablysuck, JerryArr, mallowgeno, N, pablito, racefan12, Silverclaw, Skygazer, SleepyKrew, VashtaNeurotic
Toilet paper (8):
Datisi, Haschel Cedricson, Iprobablysuck, mallowgeno, Merlyn, Skygazer, SleepyKrew, VashtaNeurotic
Food/Groceries/Pantry/Refrigerator (7):
Cheery Dog, Datisi, DeasVail, Haschel Cedricson, pablito, Skygazer, SleepyKrew
Medication/Prescription drugs (4):
Aureal, Cephrir, mallowgeno, racefan12
Clothing (3):
Aureal, DeasVail, N
Paper towels (3):
Iprobablysuck, Merlyn, VashtaNeurotic
Phone (2):
Cephrir, Farren
Printer ink (cartridges) (2):
biancospino, racefan12
Water (2):
Cheery Dog, Silverclaw
(Water) filter (2):
JerryArr, N

Non-scoring answers

Appliances: JerryArr
Batteries: Merlyn
Car/House parts: Silverclaw
Cleaning supplies: Farren
Computer: Pablito
Detergent: biancospino
Toothpaste: Haschel Cedricson

Irrelevant players

StrangerCoug (27): Groceries, Gas, Clothes

This was an interesting one to score since I didn't completely anticipate how the question would be interpreted. Cephrir explicitly said "car (i.e. with gas)," so if you said just "car", you have him to thank for getting 15 more points for it than you otherwise would have. Applying the same logic, anyplace you typically store food I grouped with food itself. That meant I unfortunately could not group "refrigerator" together with "appliances" since not all appliances are intended for food storage. Sorry, JerryArr.

Datisi must be breathing a big sigh of relief right now, since my giving him a chance enabled him to be one of three people to get a perfect score of 32! Joining him in this accomplishment are Skygazer and SleepyKrew.
Merlyn has the lowest score and returns right back to level 4, but at least she's there fair and square now.

Yeah, those are smarter answers than I gave, I do spend more on gas and on meds than I do batteries. Paper towels I run through like water though, it might be bc I have three dogs

Q22: Would you rather live without a heater or without an air conditioner?

Heater (11):
Cheery Dog, Datisi, DeasVail, Iprobablysuck, JerryArr, mallowgeno, Merlyn, N, racefan12, SleepyKrew, VashtaNeurotic
Air conditioner (8):
Aureal, biancospino, Cephrir, Farren, Haschel Cedricson, pablito, Silverclaw, Skygazer

Irrelevant players

StrangerCoug (8): Air conditioner

Well, winter may be coming (in the Northern Hemisphere), but we have fireplaces and layered clothing, at least. Plus, climate change is taking its toll. I can see why eleven of you would answer that.
The other eight of you all drop a level, meaning:

Cephrir, pablito, and Silverclaw drop to level 4, leaving only four players on level 3.
Haschel Cedricson drops to level 5.
Aureal, biancospino, Farren, and Skygazer drop to level 7 and have therefore been eliminated. They may continue as irrelevant players if they wish.
