This post is titled 'Thoughts of three rapidly developed pages'

Please note I'm writing this in chronological order, so some items may have already been covered.

pg1
-
I'm ok with Thor's vote
not a huge fan of Dave's p9 - we used this tactic as newbScum in my 1st game
@Dave
- in your 3 previous games, did Scum use this tactic? Why is MM scummier than the other 2? Why didn't you mention Leon in your reasoning, you mentioned Safety...
@AP
- Is that obvTown Dave thing RVS nonsense? I don't get that feel at all.
@Dave
- Why wait until p14 to ask Leon, you brought this un in p9? What do you hope to gain with your question to Safety? Do you believe we were still in RVS?
@Cyber- I don't like p18 at all. You've been on this site for 2+ years and don't know how to look up a wiki? It slearly states that he's been Scum in Micro29. It took me 10secs to find this info. What gives? What process did you take to find what games MM's been in? By the by, he did the fluff post there, too. What do you hope to gain by asking MM about his decision to fluff post if you just said it's a weak TownTell for him?
In light of the above point, I'm viewing MM's antiRVS as Null.
@AP
- What exactly was the ScumSlip you reference in ?p23

Bah- my preview window is acting up... I'm going to split this post b/c I can't see what I'm typing...

And heeeere we go...!

pg2
-
@Safety
- What exactly do you find scummy with kush's p19? Not understanding a reason to post something =/= Scum posting.
@kushWagon
- meh. Are we seriously considering a policy Lynch b/c he hasn't played here before and cba to look up site specific acronyms? That may be annoying, but I see the proper move is to explain what it is and then hunt him if he's scummy.
My money is on someone within the 1st 3 kush votes is Scum. I kinda like Cyber for it, at this point.

And finally...

pg3
-
@Dave p51- Orly? Lmao... Are you calling people out so early? There'd been a whole ~4hrs between since my first post. Even though I'm stay-at-home, I'm not going to sit on the site and post every 30mins. Have no fear, I'll comment when I can.

Honestly, I don't really see anything on page 3 that I care about discussing, atm. Point me to something if you'd like my specific reaction. I'm going to catch up to page 4 and start discussing current events.

@AP- How is Thor's p79 scummy? I happen to agree completely. I do not agree with the kush Wagon b/c it sounds like a policy Lynch as opposed to a scummy player on the hook. What do you find scummy about Thor's stance on kush?

@Cyber p82 Fair enough. I didn't 'meta' you, so no, I didn't know that. I've taken a 2yr hiatus and this is my 1st game back, so I understand completely. With that said, why don't you want MM to draw attention to himself?

p87- What are you smoking AP?

kushWagon 1. SafetyDance 2. MaverickMaestro 3. Cybertronix 4. Thor665 5. zipperflesh

My reasoning for saying that there's Scum in the first 3 {aside from a probably outdated meta about 3rd votes from when I last played} follows...

1. Safety voted for reasons I've listed elsewhere along with his continued posting w/o even mentioning the Wagon that he started.
2. Maverick follows with a scummy policy vote stance
3. Cyber follows with policy vote reasons

I have no problem with Thor's speedwagon vote or zipper's sheeping vote.

Sorry to disappoint, but I'm not going after Thor at this time. I have him in my 'leaning Town' pile.

Funny enough, I have you there, too. I just can't see a Scum motivation for attacking me the way you have. There would be far easier targets to go after as Scum at this point, imo.

side note- is anyone else having problems with their preview screens? After I get a lottle ways past the scrolling, it keeps jumping back up and won't stay to let me see what I'm typing. This is frakking annoying...

@Cyber p89- AntiTown=/=Scummy. If that's your only reason for jumping on the Wagon, I see no reason not to...
VOTE: Cyber

@AP p96 - I think I answered most of this in my last post. I find it fascinating that you think I'm 'hovering around the thread' while apparently approving strongly of Jake's active lurking.

I do find it interesting that you're bending time to make up arguments against me, though. I think it's pretty obvious that I'm respoding the now 5 pages of dialogue in chronological order, yet you berate me for not being psychic for knowing about post 93 when I was reading post 78... /sigh

@Dave p101 - In your OP {p9} you said you wouldn't self vote, Safety had only posted 5 times on site, and that you found MM 'the scummier of the other two'. In your reasons, you didn't mention Leon. I am curious why.

In post 113, AngryPidgeon wrote:The difference between "One of the first 3 people on it is prolly scum" and "One of the first 4 people on it is prolly scum" is arbitrary as hell.
Not if I find the 4th Vote acceptable while the first three are suspect. Let me phrase this another way... I think there is Scum in the first 3 votes because the first 3 votes are scummy. It's the same thing, bro.

The way I read it, Thor is voting for the Wagon. I actually don't have a problem with that. We need Wagons, reactions, debate, etc this early in the day. Saying that you're voting for someone for reasons that I deem scummy... is scummy.

To be sure I didn't miss something, I reread Thor's iso. Nowhere does he say he thinks kush is scummy. {I know what you're going to point to in this circumstance. I've already said that I don't agree with your read on that post.}

why did you ask me why Thor's 97 was scummy if you think Im town AND you already agree with me?
Firstly, I don't agree with you if you're refering to Thor's p79. I said as much in p97, but I think you read it incorrectly. I agree with Thor's post. Read the full selection as a continued thought...
I happen to agree completely. I do not agree with the kush Wagon b/c it sounds like a policy Lynch as opposed to a scummy player on the hook. What do you find scummy about Thor's stance on kush?

AP- Why are you so abrasive? You're using an awful lot of charged language for seemingly no apparent reason. Have I offended you somewhere?

In post 30, Thor665 wrote:Huzzah, speed lynch ho!
This is Thor's vote. I read this as voting the Wagon. Nowhere in this post does it say he's voting for any other reason than the speed of said Wagon.

p-edit. You mention p89/90, but I'm more interested in the initial votes. You say that their votes are basically identical, but I disagree. Cyber's vote comes with a description of why he's voting, as does Thor's.

In post 28, Cybertronix wrote:If you're gonna play on MS, you probably want to learn how the game is played here.

This is clearly a PL vote.

Posting selectively at this point. I'm not doing a PBPA for the last 4 pages as I see it mostly a bunch posturing and pissing.

In post 153, Cybertronix wrote:@d3x: While my vote on kush is clearly a PL move, it's also a pressure move. Let's see what his reaction is.
You posted your vote in p28. He posted 4 times between that and your above quote. I think he reacted plenty. What are you still waiting for?
As a matter of fact, the entirity of p153 reeks, imo. Not a fan of his p155 either. Aside from that, look at his iso. I don't see anything but reactions and answers to questions since his 'meta' discussion on MM circa page 1.

Hey Cyber, do you still think a PL is the best place to park your vote?

Confirm Vote: Cybertronix

Stifling D1 conversation, not waiting to hear anything from multiple player slots, Hammering before a consensus has been reached on the claim. These things are all AntiTown. I'm not saying they're scummy just yet, but they're definitely not in the Town's best interest.

Immediately before saying that you didn't want the Lynch to happen, you corrected the Mod to put your Dave vote back in the correct place. After the votecount was corrected, the Hammer came down, you then said 'no it wasn't' and declared that you don;t want the Lynch to happen. You didn't even unvote at the point where you 'believed' that the Lynch you didn't want was now 'L-1".

Further news...
kush starts the Wagon w/o voting it. In p201 he is the first to call the "scumslip", yet doesn't vote it until p248, when there's already 3 votes against Dave.

We've got ourselves a live one chappies...

Don't worry, this won't be a full PBPA, I'm just posting some thoughts and answering some questions as I fully read the thread.
In post 532, AngryPidgeon wrote:@Kthxbye: If dave had flipped scum, would your opinion of qwints be different?
In post 534, Kthxbye wrote:AP: probably yes.
I don't like this. It may have been covered already {I've skimmed throughout today}, but this makes no sense to me. qwints actions still would've resulted in cutting off the discussion. It would still be antiTown. This brings up something nagging for a while. I wanted to get a more solid read before bringing it up, but here goes. I always get a Scumvibe from Kthx when he's Town. I don't remember playig with him as a Scumslot atm {although there was that one game where he was an SK}, but I don't have the same vibe from him at this point. It's nothing concrete, but it's there. I don't know if it's just the amount of time between games or what, but I'm not getting the same sense of play from him as Town.

I declare BS on kush's p541. He's used the Unvote tags before {see p248}, thus proving that he knew a)they existed and b)they were needed per the Rule 1

-Seriously guys, where are the kush votes?

Hi tunnel-face mastin :) You know I love you, but I kinda' knew I'd run into this someday. I butted head's with Nik, yabba, and I even some 2nd gen Nik followers...

Damn it! My preview screen is doing that thing again. It keeps scrolling backup everytime I type a letter. I can't see what I'm typing. Seriously, someone help me with this as it's getting super annoying...

Well, that's kind of a tricky one, isn't it? You are clearly predisposed to read me as Scum {mastermind, no less}. I'd say that I'm fighting against easy policy lynches, building cases that are not being trn down/refuted {just not gaining the steam that I'd obv like}, and while I'm rusty as hell, Scum hunting. I think you'll find that probably my most striking Scum meta is that I tend to tunnel and while you can argue that as I know this, it's not a sound tell; the point stands. Anyone is free to check my completed games, they're all linked in my wiki. Back in the day, I was rather active and have completed quite a number of Scum and Town games. Read up if you want a {slightly out of date} meta.

p-edit: @Jake- I don't know that he did PM the Mod. As vocal as he is about how he doesn't like how this site functions/is run, he didn't mention it at all. Even if he did, Scumkush would've been mad that he got caught on the MisLynch Wagon if he was trying to jump off before it reached it's obvTerminal destination. Hell, it was pretty clear that Dave was going to be Lynched yesterday. Food for thought.

I hate NK speculation, but since you asked and I like you so much, I will oblige to answer. I think it's because DoubleJD was one of our inactives. He was more prolific than the other 2, but he still wasn't here. It's a pretty safe kill. You can read into this that one or both of the other two are Scum and that's why they didn't bite it, or that it was random. I think enough of us had blood on our hands D1 that it'd be a safe bet that we would all be pretty much at each others throats today. If the Scum didn't have a solid read on the other players who {if anyone} was a PR, they could've also just been fishing. Enough WIFOM NK spec. You made me feel dirty mastin, I need a shower. Note- slight scummy points for mastin for asking people to speculate on NKs. Can you link to a game where you ask NK speculation as Town, please?

In post 568, mastin2 wrote:-Everyone: What was your opinion on that slot going into night?

Null and Null, iIrc. Although there was a time when AP called him Scum with m and Dave {something to the effect of MS names that start w/ D are scummy}.

No read to be had, Leon had a single "I'm not here" post that did not in any way relate to the game.

p574. Seriously? Guys, seriously. How is Cyber not Scum? Better question, how is he contributing to the game as Town {doubtful}? He feels that Leon was honest in saying he had an exam? Did I just have a stroke?

d3x also chainsaw defended Thor via trying to discredit AP in the early pages as well.
Meh. I can see how you read it this way. In context however, I was having discussions with AP and he asked me about Thor. Yeah, I just checked, AP brought Thor into the convo.

p610 is just laughable. Of course I was ok with the Lynch. I was not shy in making those statements. I believe he read scummy. Even after finding out that he was legit the Cop, he still reads as scummy. That's the overwhelming danger of playing a Cop with a slice of scummy. You don't draw the NK as easily, but you sure make the misLynch easier. Regarding my 'RoleFishing', you're piling up the scummy points, mastin. I was answering directly to Dave's question. The blatant misrep to say otherwise is dually noted.

OK. Suppose that was to happen. Is it normal to want a roleclaim first?
Regarding the breadcrumb question, why on earth would I not ask for breadcrumbs when a scummy player {let alone any player} just claimed Cop?

early p-edit: @AP- I'm not letting this go. You say that my reads are all bass ackwards and it may be so, but I'm sure that there's Scum in either MM or Cyber and [/obv]I'm leaning more towards Cyber[/obv] Not to mention that I think my questions re: kush need to be addressed.

Re: mastin's p618

Allow me to concisely debate.

1- Obfuscating- It's how I talk. Read any single one of my games {Town or Scum} and you'll see that.
2- Money where Mouth is- I have my strong Scum reads and I will push those Wagons {even when I'm alone}. I will build my cases for them. I will also add to the discussion on others' play that I think is scummy. Just because my Wagon isn't going where I want it to go, doesn't mean that I'm going to abandon it for the fotm. I will gauge how likely I find it to be legit and support it if necessary.
3- Opportunistic- You forgot MM, lol. I believe them to be scummy. They are more than welcome to come in here and refute my points. Until said time, I don't see how my stance can change on their play. Besides, do you think it would be harmful to the town if they came in here and played? Are you so sure that they are not Scum? Can you say that with 100% certainty? Because if not, they need to get tehir asses in here and play the game. Lurking should never be a viable strat and should be frowned upon.
4- Discrediting Othes- If I don't believe their points to be valid... uh, yeah. I'ma gonna discredit them. If you say the sky is lavendar and try to pass that off as truth, I will tell you you are wrong.
5- Acive Lurking- I find this the most difficult to swallow, honestly. I believe I'm adding well to the discussion and bringing up valid points. Others seem to agree with me. Being a stay-at-home dad of a 3mon old, I don't have a ridonk amount of time to be on here. My posting will sometimes be sporadic. Sometimes, I won't be able to contribute as much as the next guy, but I think the vast majority of my posting is legit.

I said good day, sir.

@mastin p624 MM was an RVS Vote... I find it fascinating that you're using this as 'evidence' that I don't vote where I mean to. That post you are referencing is my first actual in the game. By the time I finished my series of catch-up posts and got some actual interaction with people, I was ready to place my Vote. And I did. Out of context piling... and piling...!

My quick thoughts... I was only able to skim the last dozen pages of AP vs Jake SK death match.

Lynches acceptable for today
mastin2
kush
Cyber/AP

Alt Lynches acceptable for today
Kthx

Not acceptable Lynches for today
AP
Jake
everyone else

I'll hopefully be able to get online at some point before tonight to do a full read and break down my reasonings. This list should serve as a guide for which Wagons d3x is happy to be on.

Sheep more? Lmao... please. Did you bother to read the cases I built on mastin, kush, Cyber/Mm when everyone else had been calling them Town? This actually lends more credence to my issues with mastin, btw. He's said that I'm going for the 'easy lynches'. Maybe you or mastin can then tell me why these 'easy lynches' aren't being refuted nor gaining followings. Assuming I'm wrong on my ScumReads, if I was sheeping or if they are so easy, why aren't I attracting any Scum to help me push them? Point of fact, I think my votes are usually alone on my reads. I think that's the exact opposite of 'easy' or 'sheeping'. I think that means I'm probably on to something.

I hate posting from my phone. I am very limited to what I can directly reference.

I actually buy that a lot more than I buy SK. I don't see Kthx as being the type of person to withhold a shot if there aren't any ramifications {ie- TownKthx not wanting to hit Town}. Further, last time we played and he was SK, he shot N1. I highly doubt that he'd change that now, just to deviate. I buy the Claim.

p720 - Says Jake's not Scum b/c meta then immediately says meta is bs.
p890 - Policy Lynch vote.
p931 - Encourages AntiTown behavior.
p948 et al - Pushing Wagons w/o reads on players. Parking L-2 Vote for 2 days without having a strong read on Kthx.

It means taking the weakest part of an argument or case and responding to it by itself, thus making it look like you are successfully defending yourself. In essence, you chose the one thing that you thought would easily discredit the entire set of points, hung your hat there, and attempted to discredit the rest of the case by ignoring the stronger points against you.

@Thor- in no particular order...
Kthx went to L-1 and claimed x-shot Vig
kush speedlynch went down VT
AP claimed VT in a 1v1 deathmatch against Jake {claimed x-shot commuter}, the deathmatch was stopped
massive speculation about either Jake or AP being SK {spec made by each other, AP since confirmed town}

I'm paying attention to the fact that your player slot didn't really add any substance.
I'm paying attention to the fact that early in the day, you were 'adding to the discussion' by pointing out semantics from the wiki on what's allowed in a Normal.
I'm paying attention to the fact that you're debating percentages for something that there's really know way of knowing, continuing the trend of not adding substance.

I'm 100% down for a Cyber or kj/MM Lynch. I'm just concerned b/c I refuse to believe they're both Scum. It's possible, but not probable to think that 2 Scum have been playing an identical lurker game. I'd be more inclined to believe that one is ultimately mirroring the other for protection. Neither one has really added much to the game, etc {I think I've put together a few bullet point breakdowns on them}. Cyber was on both MisLynches, MM on one and pushed the other while staying clear of it.

I'm checked the Isos and am not impressed by anything I've seen from zipper or qwints, either.

The same stuff I've been saying for forever. Add to that the fact that he suddenly became active in twilight extolling the zipper Lynch {see additional notes below}, he's been on both MisLynches, and before it was a for sure thing, he jumped the zipper Wagon rather weakly.
In post 1193, Cybertronix wrote:I wanted Zipper gone yesterday.
If you look it up, he votes zipper right away D2 without hardly anything to back up the vote, then doesn't mention him again until his 'other acceptable Lynches' pile in p1022 where he changes his vote to Kthx during the QuickLynch scenario {right after the Vig Claim and the mass UnVotes}. He then immediately flips to the kush QuickLynch. He doesn't bring zipper up again until the p1193 Vote claiming that he's wanted him gone since D2.

This kthx/quints situation is giving me a headache. I'll look at it tomorrow.
This seems a pretty strong position from someone who at one point wants to just "jump on the zipper wagon" and then a few posts later {his posts, not thread posts} downgrades to a secondary acceptable Lynch and doesn't look back.

@Thor- He jumps on, and then jumps off; that's w/e. The problem is, he then takes a stance when it looks like zipper will catch the Lynch and makes it sound like he's more invested than just jumping. He wants us to think that he's been pulling for this Lynch since D2. It doesn't line up with his play. The timing has your Vote, then ConfTown AP calling for the zipper Lynch, then qwints talking about how he thought zipper was going to be the Vig target. It's not that hard to figure out what comes next and it only takes 5 votes to Lynch. If there was a time to bus, that was it.

It wasn't a push, it was more of a clarification. Coupled with our previous discussion of your view on Cyber's voting habits, I'm satisfied. I wanted to make sure that I didn't miss anything.

However, I had to leave my computer and saw the MassClaim/UnVote on my phone. I dislike posting much on my phone, so I only responded to that. The 'I'm fine with it' was in reference to the MC only.

Going for the hail mary, qwints? I'm guessing that this is a last ditch effort to make it look like you're bussing me. A few points (I'm on my phone, so I can't do a whole lot until later tonight).

1- I started the push for Cyber D1 & D2 & i think even D3 & 4. I think it's ridiculous that you would say I "quickly got on the Cyber Wagon after AP initiated it". Of course I jumped at the chance, I've wanted him to swing for years!

2- I started the case on kush early D2. I didn't feel the need to rehash everything I had previously said.

3- I was fine with Hammering before the Claim, but Jake beat me to the call. It's stupid for multiple people to all state their intention to Hammer. I can't look up the specs, but I'm pretty sure that I already responded to most of the rest of these accusations D2 with mastin.

4- I find your timing amazing. None of this has anything to do with zipper or anything that transpired yesterday or today. If you were so keen on me being Scum, why didn't you say anything when mastin and I were going at it? Further, how did this case materialize in 30 minutes after it was me from 'gut'? It's like you just picked the least confTown and threw a bunch of shit against the wall to see what would stick.

Intent to Hammer. That little 'case' has convinced me.
