An RVS vote after most of the players are out of RVS is one thing, annoying sure, but not a huge problem. An RVS acknowledging that we've left RVS but saying "oh hey, I want to play the RVS game too!" Blech. Not a strong scumread, but frankly, I haven't seen anything more substantial to build a case on for this game.

ANYWAYS, hi everyone. Looking forward to this game, and hi odd. Seems like we are both in two games together.

specifically the first line is both overexplaining and noncommittal, both things I consider scummy.

This was radiantcowbell's last post in the forum, and it does bother me a little. Expecting hard reads from a page 2 post is a little bit much don't you think?

And, yes I'll try to get a few reads on something more recent. For now, my vote on metal isn't doing much anyway, and I don't think he's scum anymore.

Also, why change your vote was Radiant's last post that much more of a scum read than you had on me? You only switched the vote because "it wasn't doing much". What's your read of me now? Last point to you right now is this, it is fine to be quiet (8 posts, 10 pages) and confused but you need to contribute something more even if it makes you look stupid it may help.

This is my problem. That massive discussion between you and IL? I got almost nothing from it. Apparently Lemons decided you were town from it. I didn't see it. But my initial read on you was so weak I can't say much on it anyway. Looking through your ISO…yeah you're probably town, I'm not really seeing anything scummy in it. I still don't like your initial faux-RVS vote, but with nothing else to build on, that's not really a good scumread.

And I agree that I need to contribute more in this game. But every time I open it I'm having difficulty thinking of something to say.

OddMusic looks pretty bad IMO. #156 was an overreaction out of nowhere and some of the reactions to the wagon against him kind of look like scum bussing/distancing when they're caught off guard by momentum building against a partner.

Well I can't say anything for people's reactions to me. What I can say, not that it will do any good is that my reaction to my wagon was mostly me coming off of a shitty day.

RC's switching from me, someone she (?) supposedly had a strong scumread on, to aquanim as a policy lynch, even though I gave my wagon plenty of momentum, is giving me confidence in my vote…finally. Though I do like her posting waffles in response to me. It's a pretty fair assessment of my play to that point in the game, and I like waffles. They're tasty.

Taly and Aquanim both rushed to my defense. Could be scum buddying. Could also be town trying to stop what they think is a bad wagon.

With that in mind, could somebody explain to me the scumcase on Taly and/or Aquanim? Doesn't matter who, just want something concrete to work with.

Oh RC's definitely trying to link me and Aqua. That doesn't really explain the vote switch to me at least. The best I've got for that is this:

Define justified. I think RC is using my angry behavior as an excuse to scumread me. I don't blame anybody else for scumreading me on the grounds that my first post responding to RC was so over the top I kind of gave everybody a good reason to scumread me. So I guess you could say it's justified.

I haven't meta'd RC, and I'd have to do some of that to evaluate your read considering that was part of it. But as far as what you pulled from the forum for the read it matches up pretty well with my thoughts, yeah.

I see no reason not to read you as town. You've been doing some solid scumhunting, and your posts generally seem well thought-out. I don't agree with every point on your readslist, but it looks pretty towny to me. Aside from my point about buddying – which looking over the post you made on me, that was less of a defense of me than I remembered – I've never agreed with the people scumreading you. So it's a tentative townread. Tentative because it's early Day 1, and I don't give anything more than tentative reads early Day 1.

@Taly: While I do appreciate the townread, I don't like where it's coming from. I might be misinterpreting but it feels like you're townreading me because I'm townreading you. This happens a lot, and town does it fairly frequently, so this doesn't really qualify as a scumread, just a reminder that scum frequently do townread people who are actually town, for towncred. (Ugh, that sentence had far too many instances of the word town in it).

I like Aquanim's 279 for town. In fact I've liked most of Aqua's posts that don't have to do with me, and the posts on me I mostly didn't like because I thought he might be trying to buddy me.

Which pretty much destroys the "maybe Aqua's or Taly's buddying me" theory I had a while back seeing as I'm townreading both of them. I might come back to the idea in the future, but for now, putting it aside.

Additional thoughts on a couple of players.

Mykonian's posting a lot without actually giving reasons for his posts. His most recent post was the key to me wanting to check over his ISO, and his only high content post was a scumread on Taly (181).

I am a little curious why Taly just switched his vote onto RadiantCowbells, considering it was quite a few posts ago that RC was his top scumread (that would be 259).

I think I like Insidious Lemons' posts thus far. Lots of analysis, lots of questioning mostly good stuff. A scumread on me last he talked about me, but I can't say I didn't earn it.

Looking over tool's case on Taly in 412, it's pretty good, and the posts he references back up his case well. The one thing that I question in it is the argument on 369. There was a lot of post happening there before Taly made his vote. It could be over-explaining, like tool described in 411, but the style of the post does strike me as genuine stream of consciousness. Regardless, I'm going to take a look over Taly's ISO.
