In some of my recent towngames I have let people interact with eachother and tried to judge from that. Not saying I didn't hyperpost just that I didn't get kneedeep. I've noticed I've been losing them more. I don't know why. I believe in believing patterns even if youc an't explain them yet

You were very much in my top scumreads in StarCraft, you're conflating being preoccupied with other elements of the game with not scumreading you. Day 1 you were scummy but I was mistakenly scumreading chennis even moreso. Day 2 we lynched a mechanical guilty. Day 3 I spent all my time trying to make sure Liger wasn't mislynched because yes I was more sure Liger was town than that you were scum but that says more about Liger than you. Day 4 I was not in the game because I was mislynched for saving Liger. There just wasn't a spot to push you. I was shading Stealth Hydra to the exclusion of you some, and he also flipped scum.

Why should I seriously vote four pages in? I know nothing of her except what I've seen for a few pages, so to me it's more worth waiting to see how someone acts normally to establish a baseline before applying any pressure when confronted with a player I don't know.

As an aside, past the wine I don't find pops particularly scummy.

Most of DNS's defence has felt genuinely awful, being mostly OMGUS and wine without any real substance beyond "You guys are wrong because I'm town and I can prove it during the day even with only two votes on me". It's been really bad and seems like an extreme overreaction to just putting two votes down, so back on I go.

There's nothing inscrutable about the individual building blocks of your play. Those blocks are just covered in sprinkles. If you were a solo slot I would work a lot harder on, ignore the sprinkles pops, look at the shapes of the blocks, why are the blocks arranged in a swastika, isn't that a little troubling pops, stop eating the sprinkles. And I'll probably be efforting to do that on the part of reading your slot that comes from you. But I think I want to 80% base it on volxen.

And since you apparently think that Oversoul’s posts are towny coming from him but those same posts would have been scummy coming from me, I don’t get why you didn’t simply ask which head was posting up front, rather than defaulting to assuming that I was writing the posts and then voting for our slot solely on that basis.

This is what someone like [redacted] would do, rather than place a vote and later remove it, and generating a discussion. And he would probably get mislynched less often because of that. But I think he'd win fewer games for it because there is far more overlap between getting mislynched and winning than most players realize.

I have little on Oversoul apart from sprinkles so the basis is all you (+ some amount of inference from unexciting pushes on your slot).
I think pushing me on vote fluidity and misreading of hydra heads is supremely dumb but it reads obstinate town. Lying about hydra head identification, if it had actually happened, would be a "gotcha" and I'd expect scum!volxen to either tunnel it or vanity wagon it rather than do this thing where you explore to what extent it's valid. I actually feel like this exploration shouldn't take nearly as long as it's taking you. But that you're not posting "QED QED QED" right now is town indicative.

She is modmeta'ing that the role that investigates someone to learn their assassin target might upgrade to the role to investigate someone to learn their alignment. If she's right then sane cop is a bonkers strong role. It's not guaranteed she's right, it could get upgraded to "find out who that person wants to assassinate and also who it is that wants to assassinate them", or an entwined vanilla cop shot, or an entwined rolecop, etc.

The odds of getting upgraded in general are probably like, 40% by n3 in the dark? I am making numbers up. That seems good enough to draw the NK, I think. If it's not good enough to draw the NK it's not good enough that it should actually stop her lynch (pretty plausible for it to just have a scum rolecop upgrade path so it'd be mercy because the role draws the NK, not mercy because the role is town indicative)

If anything in the votecount sticks out I think Abu's TSE vanity wagon doesn't look good, with a big leading wagon like bitbringer it's townier to be WKing the wagon or counterwagoning it or even on it because you believe in it. The pattern of "sit back and let it happen" seems the most resonant for his slot with him spending time whining about getting scumread once he started playing but not spending any time I remember working to make sure the day's lynch was correct.

Do you think an average player does that? Especially if they are a vanilla townie? I personally do not believe that an average player will do that. I think that a person who sees their target about to die and is not explicitly townreading that player may hammer them, but I do not think they will outright gun for that person's death.

I feel like "confirmation bias" could create half-real reads on people's assassination targets. This mini theme is new territory so I might be wrong on that. I don't think it's as willfull as you describe it.
I thought about Quagmire-style reading part of my role PM to not learn my assassin target, but I felt pretty sure it'd be jerk/unethical/terrible/actually Quagmire, and then MariaR asked us to confirm our assassin target anyway.

Shadoweh is pretty scummy but voting her before she claims her results definitely seems out of protocol to me. And I'm not sure lynching her first is the ideal sequencing with her forced to trueclaim useful info. The moment she lies about her investigation the persons she lied about can naked vote her.

From memory, nothing that stood out to be scummy but also not towny, but inoffensive in a way that I didn't think further about her posts. With Weh/Dunn their nullness could have more of an underbelly, but not enough where I'd put them any lower where they are. Abu/Suji needed a spot to be and they got below Weh/Dunn probably due to my personal bias towards Weh/Dunn seeing how I said I could expect them to have some goal towards being null lol

It's not that I'm not only interested in sorting DNS, but he's the only one who was actively posting. The rest of the people I'm most interested in haven't been posting in a while.

As for not understanding you, that's more to do with your history with DNS's heads, and I don't really want to look through a bunch of different games for each of you to try and understand your meta, so I can't really verify which of you is right or wrong. I don't think really explaining it is the issue, it's more that it doesn't convince me one way or another and I don't think I will put in the effort to verify it. On a smaller note, I don't understand pretty much anything you put in spoilers.

As for unwnd, it's not just that it's a null read, but he's scumreading a lot of people (idk what bitbringer has really done to earn it, mostly), and LA is his 4th read from the top. So it's not just that it's a null read, it's that it's a null read in a weird place. I don't know how common it is in general, but I tend to try and put my scum partners as weak townreads or high null reads if I think I can get away with it. So that's why I'm kind of suspicious. But I feel like LA has got a lot of interactions that could be S/S (although with way too many people), and I want to hear from her to see and get a stronger opinion on my currently weak-feeling pings.

This chapter of the game is where I became concerned with the NaCl slot, and he hasn't accomplished anything or gained any town equity since. The way NaCl asked about the LA read looked ugly force fake pretend-work posturing. NaCl's push on LA seemed ridiculously emptyhearted. Then NaCl's nullread on me is fishy, I posted about that. It's not typical for people to nullread me, so it doesn't seem like an organic outcome.

Looking at this post, NaCl said LA is S/S with everyone, yet also said if LA flips scum then I'm scum. That's pretty cognitive dissonant.

The only pattern underlying Shadoweh's behavior seems to be trying to keep her slot alive (including a claim to not really want to be alive but then fighting her mislynch harder today).

And she would have to -know- that that was the case if she was town-who-wants-out-of-the-game because she is now a flavor cop who has confirmed she can never be anything else, in a game where even the Vanilla Townies can maybe upgrade to watchers or something. She has taken herself out of the NK pool until LyLo, as "town who wants out of the game"??? It's an awful lot easier to believe she took herself out of the NK pool until LyLo as "scum who wants the question 'why didn't anyone NK you yet' put to bed".
