Bulge complained about two pages of activity, patronized two players for having a single scum read, then claimed two town reads (on the two players he patronized) based on the two pages of content that happened that he complained of. Why is he unhappy about content that gave him TWO townreads, why is he complaining about two pages of content, why can a player not have a scumread pg 2 but he can have TWO townreads

That's a bs excuse and you know it.

You are disengaging EVERYONE. You're not being helpful. I'm not reading your case because you are hounding. Calm down and I'll actually engage. I don't want to read PAGES of back and forth between mutual scum reads. If rc is already a scum read stop spending g so much time engaging your scum read. You should be engaging others. I just finished pg 10. I have OS and Flubber as scumreads, followed softly by EPM (though he hasn't posted enough content as of pg 10). Kinetic and JFSM are strongest townreads followed by RC.

Town
(most town to least town)
MattP
(but I'm really coy about it)
JFSM

Grimmjow

RC

Kinetic

Elyse

Pisskop

Uncertain after reading them

Lostaway <- Diffuse read, nothing particularly polarizing
EPM <- Some moderately scummy feelings but need to reevaluate as a cohesive entity after I've slept on it

Scum reads
(least scum to most scum)
OS

Flubber

Excluded from reads until tomorrow because I read way too much at once and Bro/Vyse came into the game too far in for me to have a clear mind upon reading them. Bulge I need[ some time to think about.

RC. Tip: don't rely on your scumreads for votes. It looks bad on you (desperate or scummy, have your pick).

You're playing a bad game for someone with a considerable wagon on you. Think more. Flubber is a player you have a scumread on that many other players have called out / are scumreading. He's posted minimal content. You can feasibly get pressure on him. Half of wagon pushing is read-related, half is efficacy-related. You're not being efficient. A lot of your play this game has been very hectic, and that's what's causing your wagon (whether the players voting you are right or just reading you poorly. I think the latter is happening) / lack of influence over the course of the game.

You don't have to take my advice, but there it is!

Flubber isn't analyzing in depth at all and every move he's made has been opportunistic.

This sucks for a pretty solid reason already pointed out by RC (and btw, if there's a scum case to make on OS why wouldnt flubber make it transparent or pursue it?) Flubber has been avoiding really making stances or pushing anyone at all while always having his vote in the most convenient or least suspicious place.

Your read on matt is a load of shit and makes no comment to his push on the bulge

You have a strong need to self-affirm

I already made a scum case on grim but I'm just a vi so ignoing it at one's personal will is pro-town

1st and 2nd line are self defense with a useless question
3rd line is contentless (and over-the-top, I had posted barely at all so you being SO ridiculously on-my-side is bizarre) and lacks depth
4th line is useless
And you never vote him.

I didn't bring up the grimm post? I never said I was voting you because of the grimm post? You brought it up and said, "look at how this is me doing EXACTLY what you're saying I'm not doing in the game." and I am, in turn, pointing out that it EASILY can be rationalized to fit into my interpretation of your GENERAL play in the game and doesn't sway my read of you.

That narrative doesn't make any sense.

It looks like OS didn't point out my misunderstanding because he just either wanted me to dig myself into a hole or because Flubber is town and he knows I'm town and he didn't want to get in the way of a TvT conflict

1. Wagons are good. I only hesitated once I saw the apparent pronoun issue and felt you were being over aggressive
2. I didn't realize 100% certainty was the threshold for everything that we have to do

1) You said the wagon was "easy" and you didn't like my push / didn't like me
prior
to the pronoun issue. That directly contradicts with you being onboard with the wagon and being willing to jump onto it.
2) You certainly hit some "threshold", or so you say, where you were
uncertain enough
not to point out I had a misunderstanding. That directly contradicts with you thinking it was
so
obvious that it makes me scummy that I had the misunderstanding

Actually, I'm glad I just looked back:

In post 623, Oversoul wrote:I mean sure. Flubber is lurking/coasting/not giving any content. Would I cry at his lynch? No. Would I support it if I had to? Sure.
I find it odd that Flubber is the first player you go after. I would think you would go after someone who is tougher to lynch (although Flubber seems to be difficult to corral interest around).

Depending on town power, this might be 10:4, but I think 10:3

You began saying that you wouldn't cry over a Flubber lynch and would support it if you had to, and that your qualm is that it's just an easy lynch

In post 637, Oversoul wrote::]

RC is doing nothing with my vote.
I may join you soo Matt

Then you say that your vote on RC is doing nothing so you cater to joining on the easy lynch (which is hilarious, because basically that means RC wagon was haaaarrrd so you'll switch to the wagon you called easy, so you're a hypocrite at best)

In post 698, Oversoul wrote:

1. Fair I probably shouldn't have categorized it like that.
2. I mean I thought it was obvious that there was some miscommunication occurring surrounding that post, but I wanted you two to figure it out for yourselves. You went after Flubber so aggressively that it seemed odd that you missed the post he was referring to, almost like you just chose to isolate him and then try to make a case on what you saw.

1. I don't get what that even means. Ok? So what should you have categorized it as?
2. Again again again, this doesn't make the contradiction go away. You said, QUOTE

RC wagon? I am confused. I was talking about the wagon that RC was trying to start on EPM.

Regardless of what your pronoun was directed at (we can all see I suck with pronouns), it doesn't change the point that you were suddenly willing to switch to the "easy" wagon from whatever wagon you were on because that wagon was "doing nothing" (aka a hard wagon)

In post 772, Oversoul wrote:
In post 753, MattP wrote:Then you say my push was bad? So what did you see in my push that made you cater to a Flubber vote in the first place?

The fact that MattP was pushing it and I consider you a really good player? And that Flubber doesn't really look like he will contribute to the game but discussion for another time I guess, lol.
Maybe I'm just holding you to higher standards back when we actively played. pastMatt I don't think would make this type of case/push Flubber like this. After I had seen things start to develop the wagon just felt bad on a visceral level and I determined it had to do with you pushing it for not the best reasons.

You still haven't answered what you saw in the Flubber wagon that made you cater to it at that moment.

And I already said my opening this game sucked. I had a big sloppy misunderstanding with a pronoun, but my logic based on that misunderstanding was completely sound, so I don't get why you keep harping on saying that you're "disappointed" with my play or "expected more from me". But this is also just AtE and is completely irrelevant to what I'm getting at

unless you legit believe in principle it's scummy for someone to change from slight town read -> scum read over 400 posts that's a ridiculous reason to assume her read change is inherently scummy. Why didn't you try asking her where her read changed. There was plenty of oversoul-related content between those 400 posts for her to have a read change

I find it odd that Flubber is the first player you go after. I would think you would go after someone who is tougher to lynch (although Flubber seems to be difficult to corral interest around).

Depending on town power, this might be 10:4, but I think 10:3

Also, seriously as a side note since you've calmed down RC, please in the future when you're frustrated with the game don't cuss at people and ask for your lynch. It's against the spirit of the game and makes it not fun. It's a game, we should be enjoying it. I've gotten frustrated several times in this game too, but I've not let it show. Like, seriously, I'm only going to vote OS today. He's played an unbelievably sloppy game and has an overwhelming amount of associations with other players. His play has been scummy, he can't even get out of his contradictions so he finally resorted to just saying he's been playing badly. And that wasn't his defense he first resorted to. He was completely, absolutely cornered by Jake and me. I'm very frustrated by how little effort most people are putting into the game. Just vote OS, I put the work in and I want my flip

In post 1041, Ankamius wrote:You never actually answered my other question, though, namely why the other pushes were bad.

There's only one significant wagon right now, which is RC. I think, for the most part, he's been wildly erratic and antitown, but town-aligned, which I've said. I already said that and that I will not be voting him (or play another game with him on-site for that matter, but whatever). If you want my
extended
version of my reason, I think he lacks humility and focus and that's lending to a poor town game from him (regardless of the accuracy of his reads, which can be amazing but if you play an unlikable and overconfident game that turns people off, then it doesn't matter, you've played a bad game, sorry). I'm not going to vote him and play against my wincon just because he's making the game less enjoyable and trying to over-dominate the thread with self-centered histrionics. I'm just very annoyed by this point.

The ONLY thing he's done that's really stood out as scummy to me is thing from RC (Ankamius, just click on one of the posts and read the surrounding material to get a full picture of how it happened):

In post 754, RadiantCowbells wrote:Can we please, please not do Oversoul today?

In post 757, RadiantCowbells wrote:I think scum sees Oversoul as a perfect mislynch opportunity.

In post 760, RadiantCowbells wrote:Oversoul is doing stuff that justifies scum wagoning him but I don't think he's scum.

In post 761, RadiantCowbells wrote:Everyone in my scumpool has expressed interest in lynching Oversoul.

That's good enough for me. I'm not doing it.

In post 763, RadiantCowbells wrote:Can we fucking not?

It was incredibly over-the-top and bizarre. I don't get why RC was SO pissed off considering we were just
pressuring
OS. It's not like he was at L-1. He had a single vote on him (mine), if I remember correctly. RC was shutting down us even discussing/pressuring OS. I don't get how RC could be SO pissed off about the discussion when shortly prior RC was, himself, voting OS. His only reason he stated for being anti-OS wagon was that his scumreads thought OS was scummy (not that they were even
voting
OS, just that they thought he was scummy). I think this attempted shutdown of discussion of OS was very scummy. The only way I can rationalize it is that RC is so melodramatic/overconfident that he really thinks that was normal-appropriate behavior. And that actually matches his melodramatic/overconfident behavior
all
game.

In post 1049, Ankamius wrote:Mattp is it connected to your scumread on OS at all or is it a separate thing entirely? I can kinda see scum doing this sort of thing to town (I've super WKed town wagons all the time), but the fact that it's more preemptive than anything is making me really iffy on that.

I'll have to read more context than just that page to see what the overall game state was, but I think it's more likely town if it suddenly started being a spotlight over everything else in that particular moment than anything else. This might be because I get a sense that RC is kind of like me in that he keeps tabs on what's going on and cross-references them to past stuff later on (I've made this type of mistake before, you've seen it. I outright claimed when I noticed a lot of suspicion being put my way out of nowhere even though the lynch was almost guaranteed to be someone else), so I'm not overly convinced by it.

I'm not 100% following what you're saying here.

Regardless, my OS scumread has nothing to do with my read on RC. OS is scum for the reasons I'm stated in my ISO. Like 1/3rd of my ISO is probably directed at OS

Matt, vote for Lost with us. He's scum.

Updated Reads:

Town Reads (in no order):
Vyse
Bro

True Neutral
Oversoul
(empty slot)
Matt

1. No
2. Even if I were to have considered your push, I'd be too busy laughing at your stagnant reads list over 40+ pages and the fact that you have two of the most prolific and pressured/pressuring players in the game as "True Neutral" reads while Vyse and Bro, who have barely posted at all, are Town-Reads-In-No-Particular-Order

About Matt's dissection of Oversoul himself.

I'm curious, because until Oversoul got into it with Matt, he seemed pretty town to me. Early on he makes some good points on PK, queries Bro about implying there's a Vig in the game, engages with RC and Jake, and gets into a lengthy analysis of why Jake is wrong about PK not engaging in scumhunting... I mean, OS was fairly active kind of going after people.

He seemed mostly town as far as I was concerned until Matt started pointing out inconsistencies regarding his take on the Flubber push. It's a very good argument, I think, but I want to see the new player's take on the slot and that argument before I start leaning one way or another myself. Right now I'm ambivalent.

Like seriously

Welcome new blood.

Matt, Bro, Elyse, Lost, PK, would you comment on your likelihood to support an Ank wagon?

Ank: in response to why I think you're scum. I have felt strongly that Jake looked scummy. I do not believe your posts since replacing have changed that read, and if anything, has supported that read. I do not believe you're town, and while I do not have direct posts to point out to show why, I believe I've given several reasons throughout my history that yore welcome to dispute. In particular, your sheeping and buddying up toward Matt is very damning in my eyes. The other points are Jakes play, and I understand it's difficult to defend and answer for the play of another player when you can't read his mind or know why he made the choices he did, but they still reflect on the alignment of the slot.

Sorry, I'm not so likely to support an Ank wagon, primarily because I'm loathe to let RC slip through our fingers. But then I'm reading RC as the scummiest of scum (and anti-town to boot) while you've pegged him as somewhat townish, so this should hardly be surprising. I have a hard time believing that initial and dreadful fight between RC and the Jake/Ank slot was a scum/scum ploy.

That would mean in a 14p game there is a 1-shot cop JoaT (pisskop), you're a gunsmith, and you think theres a third gunsmith

This is a weird associative situation between RC/Jake/Bulge

Pedit: @Bro, pisskop was a COP, not a gunsmith That setup doesnt make sense with a cop also in the setup.

It's likely there is a GS-immune scum role, and the two that have flipped so far are not GS immune. It's only a 14p setup soo likely 3 scum, which means GS results at this point probably don't serve much purpose

N1 mafia got a gunsmith result, N2 they didn't. BRO claimed two no gun results on vonplare and elyse. If he were scum he would have had to guess gun result on at least one of them (unless one is scum with him, which I doubt?) so the risk isnt worth it, BRO is town

Desperate measures sure maybe, but I think if that backfired that would be a terribly idiotic move and I dont think they would have considered my rationalization prior to them making that decision, and if my rationalization isnt taken into account it removes all perceived benefit of the move in the first place. BRO could have just claimed "odd night town gunsmith" or something to avoid having to make a guess.

Again, I think Boonskies has played terribly, but noone seems to care or notice him
