Eh, if someone's come out to you as an investigative role, you trust them, and you potentially know they're checking on a widely-suspected player that night, it's probably worth it. I'm pretty confident Roster BG + Direct target between them occupy much more probability space than Rick BG. Rick claiming the existence of a ninja would likely deprioritise him as a protect.

After my last game with FL where I bucked him because he had me in his solve (but it was correct otherwise), and given how Mumble played this game, I'm not going to fault him for including my slot.

I was pushing at Mumble that day, and Chemist was conversing with me.

I think I WAS the kill target. Chemist saved me and died for me with his body guard action.

That’s why the whole “why wasn’t Rick killed?!?” talk has been coming up. Scum tried to kill me, and failed!

I looked through Chemist's ISO, and based on that, I find it more likely that he protected Roster and not you. He kept on saying that Roster was a bad lynch, and he barely mentioned you at all. So what's likely (unless Roster's replacement can confirm this to be false), Chemist neighbored Roster, and Roster told Chemist that he was Vanilla Cop, a role that could be useful in finding the other power roles, including those of Scum. Chemist would definitely trust the person he used his Neighbor power on over a guy who just said he was Tracker in the open, yet didn't even use his power on the first night (as found out in Day 3 with the Visitor claim).

If this event did actually happen the way you describe it, then it would confirm you town, but based on Chemist's ISO, it is unlikely that he used his Bodyguard ability on Rick.

What's your read on SS?

He’s in the pool, but SS arguably knows me better than any other player on site, for sure top 3, and when he was scum last and I was town, I KNEW he was scum, and he forced a 1v1 with me in a sort of hilarious back and forth. Game was essentially over by the time I replaced in there.

Other than that, I only have played with Scumthing Smart once, and he was my partner, and pulled a Miller/Cop gambit Day 1 together, and swept.

Him WK’ing me doesn’t make sense in theory if I’m not being targeted for a mislynch, but like I said, I think I’m destined to be mislynched in lylo.
