I’ve got a lot to comment on but first thing I need to clarify, eventhough Hya is really the only one so far who’s engaged me on this and Gamma to a lesser extent indirectly.

That whomever is in that other hypothetical hood could be a potential soft clear, And having a softclear helps us narrow down the possible PoE. Make sense?

And ifrc, Pepper claimed modified watcher, so I don’t see how getting a possible soft clear on another hood outs PRs.

I would really like to get other people’s opinions on this.

@Pepper, can you please link that NM PR game for us? I really need to read it for myself. Thanks.

ftr FL's response to my question is very uninspiring if N_M's town, and actually somewhat comforting if N_M is scum

quite frankly i think scum!FL would have bussed scum!N_M to hell and back in this gamestate, and i think this awkward dancing-around-it that he's doing is just NOT the approach he would be taking as a partner

if N_M's town, on the other hand, i worry that FL's a wolf caught in a spot where he's not quite sure how to position himself around the inevitable flip of a low hanging villager, hence all the hemming and hawwing

obviously this is all incredibly conditional

but that was ultimately the point of the exercise - to try to get him to take a hard stance before we see the flip

It is never the case where I’m “not sure where to position myself”, regardless of alignment in any game, gonna stop you right there.

I will take the hard stance of not taking the hard stance, because this is straight up just trying to force a gamefic.

I have one of the most complex and developed reads on NM, just because I’m not saying he’s hard it’s hard that doesn’t mean my read is worse than most others. I feel my read is better than most on his slot, tbh

This also feels like a setup if NM flips town.

You have completely pushed a narrative that if NM flips town, i will be able to be pushed from it and if NM flips scum, I will be able to pushed from it.

So if you really wanna talk about positioning and whatnot, look exactly at what you just did and tried to hypocritically pass it off as shade onto me.nyou created an entire segment where no matter how I would answer, you could turn it on me.

On reread, I can see how this could possibly look like Amy setting up FL but I could also see that possibly coming from town as well. I think that her posting until recently has been dreadful and this was the first time since she explained her initial thoughts immediately after outing the hood that it hasn’t been. I know you hard disagree with me on that.

However I disagree with Amy that your positioning on NM is weird. @Amy, why do you think FL’s read on NM is weird? I think thinking he’s a null makes perfect sense based on what Pepper has posted about NM playing the same way as PR and

i'm unaware of this post's existence and was thus operating off the assumption that FL was as well

furthermore i don't think the word i would use is "weird", just "noncommittal" - which, in this scenario and given my read on flavor leaf's personality/playstyle, is something i find concerning if N_M flips town

yeah of course i know he has to have a fuckin' partner

but i dispute the notion that not having enough scumreads is inherently wolfy when i think i've given something resembling an explanation for my townreads on other players at varying times. if you think i'm just struggling to bullshit reads, sure, but then point me to where you think my reads aren't genuine and we can talk about em.

my instinct in looking for partners here is to look for people who were soft pushing/sussing N_M while still keeping options open should another viable venge target open up; i doubt they would be the ones actively leading a venge wagon on another person given the (prior to my whole thing exploding) sheer likelihood of N_M's flip happening

i could not tell you which specific players this refers to without backreading

and i'm probably not doing that backreading until i see an N_M flip
