I had a makeshift plan where I would repeatedly kill the person with the task remaining over and over to get as far as I could

town see the mechanic that allows double kills -> instantly afraid to potentially be alone with scum -> claim rooms to be together

It felt good going from L minus one to casing Bell into a corner.

I think the room claims really hurt scum.

I just straight up disagree and so do all of my reviewers (and several players in this game.)

Mass claiming D1 is almost always a bad idea in a closed setup.

They
happened
to hurt scum, but imagine a game where we don't eliminate correctly three times in a row. If Flea lives and Outworlder targets somebody other than Blitzo then we're fucked.

I also disagree that the claim led to the win. I think yeeting scum 3 days in a row did that. Bad process, good result. I think the town played pretty excellently from a non-mech standpoint though.

well now you see it in practice. people normally think ROLES are a bad thing to claim -> something like where one is going for the night feels natural because of the mechanic of being alone in a room.

I think if this setup is run, give scum 1 kill every other night but the imposter must be in the room with the target.

I don't see a realistic method of scum ever getting the double kill.

the main driving factor that leads people to want to claim rooms is the mechanic of being killed while in a room with scum alone

yeah the only way i saw scum getting double kills is if they were using it to endgame.

Claiming rooms was a good idea to prevent doubles, no-elimming and trying to win off mechanics alone was not, which was what I in particular had a violent objection to on D1.

I generally agree with Shea that just generally good dayplay and Haschel being a fucking hero was what won town the game and not any mechanical play (beyond the normal stuff like me blocking Blitzo)

I like the setup, I like having open neighborhoods and I wish I could've gotten more use out of it. GG's all-around.
