Best Performance By A Team

Mini 594: Satin Doll Showdown

Seriously, my scum team got OWNED due to the quality of play from the town. We would have gone down in flames a lot earlier than we did if the town hadn't bought my gambit and ignored Elmo for so long.

Speaking of that game...
Speaking of that game:
Nominate:
Tarhalindur
Award
Best performance in a losing Cause
Game:
Mini 594: Satin Doll Showdown

Although he was the first one to die from the scum team, his gambit and play throughout the first two days managed to confuse the town enough to almost pull off the win for the scum. He managed to connect himself to me enough that the town lynched me(that also had to do with my sucky play, but my point still stands). He also caused the town to completely ignore Elmo until the last day. Also a couple other things that I can't think of at the moment, but as soon as I died, I was like "wow, Tar played perfectly except for dying"

If there's some kind of "best single play" award, PokerFace should definitely be up for it for that gambit, imo. I was like... okay, now I have to explain why a scumbag was absolutely fine committing to a plan that autowins for the town, lol.

If you want to nominate me for something relating to that claim, you can go right ahead.

But I feel part of the praise I am getting for it is a little undeserving. I originally planned to get elderad or the slightly possible incog scum lynched. Then I was like wait a minute... niether one is acting like scum now. They both agree to a gauranteed town win? WTF?! Who's scum then? What the hell is going on here?! And I didn't figure that part out until I was dead. Luckily the rest of the town figure it out later.

I didn't plan the result I got. Kinda fell into it. Abandoning the gambit when I did was right play. Following through with it would have given me a dunce cap. The entire thing looked like a huge screw up to me until things were over. Like I was on some massive drug trip or having a drunken haze ("It sounded like a completly good idea at the time officer") and then I woke up hung over with a 40 million dollar winning lottery ticket in my pocket. How did that get there?

Nominate
: AwesomePants

Award
: Most Enjoyable Game (Mini normal)

Game
: Linky

Provided the most useful and well updated first post ever, created a surprising game, excellent light-touch modding that worked brilliantly with the involved players, provided enjoyable flavour text, and harnessed the set up and modding to create just the uncertainty needed for the game balance to work.

Will certainly be on the look-out for more games modded by AP.

Nominate:
Shy Guy
Award
Best replacement
Game:
Open 83 - Polygamist Mafia

He replaced in thinking that all of the townies were scum and that all of the scum were townies. He was openminded enough to realise that he was utterly wrong, even after writing 38 long posts presentign his case.

If he had suffered from any of the typical townie tunnel-vision, the scum would've won, for sure.

Why wouldn't that fall under "Best performance: scum" or "most cunning manipulator" or something else we already have?

I'm not sure that we should promote bussing as an achievement in its own right.

Because best bus is like best roleclaim, it's not going to be lumped in with Best Performance by an Individual either.

how would you separate best bus from best scum performance then? I'd wager a guess that most best scum performance nominations included the nominee bussing.

ok, so self-nominations are hated by everyone. I get that.

A game recently ended where Talitha, DrippingGoofball, rajrhcpfreak PookyTheMagicalBear, mathcam, Glork, elvis_knits, Macros, Nonny, Axelrod, Phoebus, and Werebear were town. (some of them were replacements for each other)

Armlx, logicticus and I were scum together, and we all survived.

one player wrote me a PM after the game saying,
I'm reading the scum forum with interest and just noted this:
Adel wrote:ok, lets kill pooky then, and hope pooky analysis points away from us.
You totally got me there, that's for sure. :o

the scum-team QT thread http://www.quicktopic.com/41/H/tqSaxyB7hLWP

This is me trolling for my first individual or team scummy nomination for good play.

I love each and every one of you.
