I don't really have thoughts on the argument between datisi and andres, they don't look like scum to me, still think midwaybear is scummy.

Cookie monster's read list looks very similar to Duchess'. Read's to me like low effort scum mimicking their predecessor

His iso being stagnant with reads the entire game, then when this is pointed out he comes back and starts being active in a way that to me seems like scum panic to put out good town stuff.

an interesting thought has crossed my mind. What if RL is scum, sort of just bobbing along because his scum buddies are inactive; let's say Testarossa and Dunn, then battle mage replaces one of them. Suddenly there's a turnaround in activity from both slots who co-ordinate a back and forth to make both look more towny.

cookie's readslist feels awfully forced. i feel like the reads description was copy/pasted 10 times over because (other than the elements one) i feel like none of them are actually saying anything.

Can you be more specific? What read doesn’t make sense to you? Like what is forced or insincere about it?

the only read that "doesn't make sense" to me is calling elements' posts scumslips. (nothing else "doesn't make sense" because imo nothing else even says anything.) it reads forced to me because it reads like they wanted to make a readslist on everyone, but they had no idea what to actually write, so they wrote that. like i don't see an actual explanation for anything. "gives me town vibes", "feels like actually solving the game", "feels like something is off", "doesn't sit well with me", without elaboration or examples, none of those sentences actually *mean* anything.

Well that reads list is such a disaster it is comical to think scum would come out and post that without their buddies saying "hold up." If cookie is scum,they presumably don't have much experience and would be more likely to seek advice from buddies, I would think. If I was on that scum team, I certainly would have suggested revising that post considerably to be more mainstream.

Now, if we flip that and assume Cookie is town here, that's exactly the type of terrible post I'd capitalize on as scum to get an easy yeet. There are several poorly articulated reads on the list you could really hammer on and make cookie look scummy for because I doubt cookie has very solid justification for some of them.

re: andres, i agree that maxwell was decently unlikely to gain traction yesterday. as were the vast majority of wagons, i think. i want to say how you're being hypocritical here because you weren't exactly asking people to consolidate with you on green, though the time between your vote there and your last post on d1 was some ~24 hours, so maybe that'd be unfair.

yeah, no shit the arguments were faulty, italiano flipped town.

i took a look at the vc's, and the earlier italiano wagon was some combination of me, lotus, harumi (maxwell), and rtp. the same 4 were on the final one, with the addition of baltar, midway, and italiano himself.

while i do agree there's probably at least one scumfuck on the final wagon, purely because it was a misyeet wagon (and i say this with less certaintly than i usually would due to it being a deadline crawl wagon and due to there also being a self-hammer), i don't think it necessarily has to be between the doublers (my reads on them notwithstanding, and i'm not saying this just because i'm one of them). town wagoning town happens, especially in that early labile environment where scum might decide to wait and see if there's a good opportunity before jumping onto something.
