Daystart, Daytalk enabled, Majority executions. Factional nightkill, no multitasking.

There is no day execute day 1, in fact the day execute is not given, requires certain conditions to be met. Majority vote required to end day early is however, possible. Mafia wins on parity/nothing can stop it.

All living players can take a night action, all living players have access to the following night actions (only one night action can be taken still, however)

Prepare the Guillotine
Train at the Range
Fight a Dungeon

Prepare guillotine - You may choose to prepare guillotine, doing so will enable a day execution for the following dayphase. Requires only one person to prepare successfully. The condition of the guillotine is announced at the start of every dayphase.

Train at the Range - You may choose to train at the range, at the end of the night, your level will increase by 1.

Fight a Dungeon - You may choose to fight a dungeon. All players who fight at the dungeon are entered into the same party. If the combined levels of all party members who fight at the dungeon is greater than or equal to the dungeon level, you will have successfully defeated the dungeon. However, if the party fails to beat the dungeon, there will be a

party wipe

, and all party members will be killed. There is no discernible difference for death flavor of all kills that happen overnight.

The factional nightkill will take place last after everything is calculated. Obviously tracker/watcher will catch them, but they happen after level up/fighting dungeon/getting a drop etc.

Dungeons, loot will be given to the highest level party member, ties are broken randomly:
N1: level 3, 1-shot tracker (Visited player X or visited location X)
N2: level 5, 1-shot watcher (Can choose to watch a player or a location, tells you all players that visited player or location)
N3: level 7, 1-shot cop
N4: level 9, global reward: the game moves into nightless, executions become compulsive (lose if no exe), guillotine is automatically sharpened
no more dungeons

3. Behaviour
   - Don’t be a dick. This is a heated game but toxicity will not be tolerated. Attack the play not the player. If your fellow players tell you to stop, you must stop. If you do not stop, I will tell you to stop. If you still do not stop, you will be force-replaced. Asking people to stop voting you or to stop scumhunting you entirely doesn't count for this rule and you may find yourself eliminated if you try it.
   
4. Don't talk about ongoing games
   - You may not talk to each other about this game outside of threads I have created for this purpose. You may not talk about other ongoing games in this thread.
   
5. Tiny text
   - please avoid this, or at least make everything legible on a mobile screen. No squinting.
   
6. Provable randomness
   - is against the rules. Saying that you rolled a dice is fine, using dice tags or random.org is not.
   
7. Claiming scum
   - by yourself is fine. Claiming scum with another player is against the rules.
   
8. Cryptography
   - is forbidden. Breadcrumbing is okay.
   
9. Confirmation
   - You have about 72 hours to confirm your role and your alignment by PM. Game will start sooner if enough confirms. Posting in a private topic counts as confirmation.
   
10. Days
    - Days last a variable amount. Extensions may be granted if there are replacements. Deadlines are a part of the game so I won’t be granting deadlines out just because its wanted.
    
11. Activity
    - You must post at least once every 36 hours or I will Prod you. You then have 24 hours to post in the game thread or I will replace you. If you come back before I find a replacement, you can stay. The activity timers run at half-speed on weekends. Players can request me to prod somebody early. This will only count as an official prod if you don't post before you would have been due for a prod. If you haven't posted in the 24 hours before the thread is locked for night, you must reply to the night start PM or you will be replaced during the night.
    
12. Vacation/Limited Access
    If you need to be absent for longer than this, you should declare

13. Prodging

16. Execute
    - Days end early when a simple majority of players (50% of living players + 1 rounded down) vote to execute somebody. If a majority is not reached at deadline or if a majority of the players vote for no execute, the day will end without an execute. At evens, 50% is sufficient for no execute. On days without an execute, a simple majority is required to end the day early with a VOTE: end day or something of the sort.
    
17. Twilight
    - Begins when a majority is reached and lasts until I lock the thread. You're still alive until I flip you so you can talk in any game threads you have access to until then, but no votes or unvotes will be counted.
    
18. Night
    - Night lasts at least 48 hours. The night phase can be shortened if every living player -- even those with no night actions -- agrees to it and if I'm not busy.
    
19. Action submissions
    - You may submit actions via PM (if town) or PT (if scum). If the actions are not submitted by the deadline then you do nothing. You can change your mind as many times as you like before the deadline. Please keep in mind I will need time to process the night actions so even if the deadline is passed, but the thread is unlocked, you will be unable to submit night actions.
    
20. Reminders
    - If I don't hear from you about your night actions, I'll PM you 24 hours before the deadline. This doesn't count as a prod. If I still don't hear from you, you will take no action.
    
21. Notes PT
    - Let me know if you want a private thread to store your thoughts and feedback for the other players. This thread will be made public immediately after the game. You may draft posts in your notes PT but you may not talk about your notes PT in public. A lot of my game thoughts are in the dead PT despite fleeting, this was a tried experiment that could use some tinkering Oka, but I admire the attempt.

thanks, i think there are possible directions you could take this setup (koba mentioned using public votes for dungeon) but i think the common criticism was it was too much which means on my end, i think imma give up the idea since my hope was to have this be the framework on which i could add more layers of complexity

but i do think that the setup itself, although it might theoretically on paper be "balanced" did just run into a scenario that is completely oppresive for scum to play in which is losing scum early

also want to shoutout dunnstral, morning tweet, koba specifically for super engaging in the mech talk on how to play this setup. it was very interesting to watch everyone take a crack at this setup but these three players specifically had very interesting takes on how to solve it.

also shoutout to isis/unwnd for thinking about using dungeons as a executioning machine. that was cool too
