In this instance, a scum who has to post to avoid looking scummy, but because they aren't positing for any natural reason, comes across as unnatural, out of step with the vibe of the game more generally, and without clear direction or motivation beyond looking Townie

That last part is where we differ. When I say a post is forced, it means they are making some kind of push or scumread because they feel they have to but don't have much to back it up, don't really sound like they believe it, and are saying it just to say it.
