It's always the same. When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who's going to die. You don't know whose children are going to scream and burn. How many hearts will be broken. How many lives shattered. How much blood will spill, until everybody does what they're always going to have to do from the very beginning... SIT DOWN AND TALK!-

Cause I had a thought, I probably should've waited to say, and didn't really want to go down that path at that point in time, it basically would've turned into a tunnel on Datisi, and I don't think I was certain on that sr, idk, I'd have to revisit, I'm onto something else at the moment. In post 800, Something_Smart wrote:

Thus I'm now writing out my own thoughts (instead of just posting whatever) and ummm am considering reading some past games for someone because I'm literally SRing every single post. Which will make sorting them real fun.-

Ok, here's the compilation of my thoughts on scum!innocentvillager, and honestly what stands out the most I'd say? the reaction to seeing the votecount. Like "I'm the top wagon? get midwaybear!!" then I think in 750 we're not SRing midway anymore?? I'm not even sure. I'm just not a fan of prioritizing the conversation with datisi for things not even relevant to finding scum. And pretty much ignoring game related stuff, unless datisi is involved, then it's like "gotta jump into that!!" something feels super off here
729 –“if you’re so tired of these interactions why do you still engage in them” like, I’m confused on why you’re even asking this, if Datisi ignored the question, people would be all “why did you ignore me?!?!” I also don’t like the reference to past games where you were scum against him, like, doesn’t seem necessary.
730- “you finally rolled scum without me” uh what? It’s followed by “I have no idea if you’re town or scum” it feels like you’re just trying to look busy “solving” cause there’s nothing here that helps anything.
734- After a comment about being the largest wagon, he votes midwaybear and goes “I haven’t seen anything towny here” feels like innocentvillager is just pushing the next “easy” wagon instead of actually pushing midwaybear cause he thinks midwaybear is scum.
743- Datisi just gave paragraphs of thoughts, and we care more about “would you really night kill me as scum?” like, why do we care so much about talking about ourself instead of finding scum
746- voting midwaybear (thinks midwaybear is scum?) yet does nothing to try and convince datisi or have datisi help sort midwaybear, instead it’s more like “haha don’t worry, I don’t sr you dats” “I don’t sr midwaybear, but the post just stuck out” like… what?
750- It is like we are trying to find a reason to TR datisi(or maybe this is a tr on midway using datisi’s argument? So just agreeing with datisi?), cause “that’s not easy for scum to fake so I will admit it’s a point in his favor/your argument” is such a bad thing to say
753- jumping to datisi’s defense, instead of asking what specifically pinged skitter, it’s “ do you think caring about thread appearance is scum indicative for datisi” like, what do you expect to get from this question?? Only after skitter going “I think he does it as both alignments” does innocent villager go
755- “yeah I don’t think it’s scum indicative, what pinged you about it?” like, it feels like an awkward conversation…-

Actually I think it works better... if the reason is logic then scum can come up with it pretty easily but if it's a gut feeling that springs from a town mindset it might be harder. In post 590, midwaybear wrote:I'm not sure mindmeld works when the explanation for the read is just "feeling"...
I don't put much stock in mindmelds in general but I think this is a fairly good application of it.It's always the same. I think I agree with you more now. I was thinking it's harder for scum to fake longer chains of "townie thought", but I don't disagree that it's not hard to fake townie logic. I think there is a difference between the two though and I still don't think it was hard for scum to scumread my entrance (nsg called it classically scummy?)In post 808, Something_Smart wrote:if the reason is logic then scum can come up with it pretty easily but if it's a gut feeling that springs from a town mindset it might be harder.
About IV though, I have been trying to get a read on him based on how he has tried to read me this game. Cuz I do think it is townie that he has this focus on me (and Datisi). I think it is more natural to town to try to read people they find readable while scum might go with the game more and make reads on whoever convenient (yes, I still think scum will "read" people they would usually find readable, but IV focus on me and Datisi is a lot more than i would expect). I was initially suspicious on why he would vote me so quickly though, but a good explanation might be that he just had no other leads which makes sense. I also read (ok more like skimmed) what Andante wrote up and I don't think a lot of what she's pointed out is actually scummy. I think I'm lean-town on IV rn.
Also, VOTE: Mare
The interaction with Datisi felt a bit off.-

midway brings up a good point about me focusing more on familiars as not scummy so I will echo that
trying to get reads and interactions on readable people first is good I think, it’s also just a function of whoever’s sort of around at the time I am
It’s not an alignment indicative trait for me at all I don’t thjnk tho, I do it as both alignments-
