Honestly, maf will BLOCK if they're being targetted, thats why I've put 2 out.

Also they will DOC whoever is taking the shot because of a bomb threat.

If you take a minute to do the CBA, you'll find that mafia are going to doc the person shooting regardless. They can't RB and doc. Second if some dies that someone claims they are targeting and they are the only death it tells you a lot. Sure scum will lie but if you do this each night you will catch someone out plus force scum not to shoot their outed target. This only increases in value as people flip in terms of poe.

Does announcing targets really help scum? I figured it the way Teeky said it -- scum's most likely play is to doc whichever of them takes the NK on the chance they hit a bomb. I'm not gonna do the maths on it but doc'ing the scum who takes the shot (on the chance they shoot a bomb) seems like a much more high-percentage play than trying to RB somebody claiming a shot, when that somebody might or might not be a vig, AND might or might not shoot blanks.

What it does do is give us more reads (over and above your vote -- see Flea's 255) and, god forbid in this morass of a game, generate some discussion and possibly some information down the road (see Teeky's 260)

Does it really need to be said that vigs SHOULD NOT attempt to shoot except in a shoot-or-lose scenario? (Which is never the case after D1)

Of course, I expect that people didn't join to play this game optimally, but rather have a bloodbath in the streets. Which is fine, but the corollary from "

Thou shall not shoot

" is "

Thou shall not hypo-shoot

"

Cheeky just softed SS (which actually doesn't matter until we collectively decide on a final elim) BUT there is barely any fundamental difference between {elim on Imaginality with Cheeky hammer} and {elim on Cheeky with Imaginality hammer} UNLESS Cheeky is gambiting OR we run out of time and someone else is forced to hammer to ensure an elim today.

Eden, LGW, The Onion need to weigh in FAST and say who is scummier, Imaginality or Cheeky so we can get the show on the road.

Scum probably docs whoever takes the NK, but they have to choose which of them does that. If we all announced vig targets then we'd help them make that decision.

Vig's can be blank. They can shoot, and not kill.
1 death is always a scum shot.
2+ deaths is scum+vig and/or scum+bomb and/or vig+bomb

Bomb deaths should be reasonably obvious.

We could potentially have half the game dead tomorrow.
