This is a really good point.
STD was obviously excited about our hood.
He was clearly enthused in it.
Even if he wasn't on V/LA, there's no scum motivation for not posting in one day after telling everybody about the hood.

okay, tldr of my reads is

ausuka, bella, crescent, roden, gamma, johnny - townie, vaguely from towniest to scummiest

shoshin/freedom idk. i wanna say townie. i opened this iso from town!shoshin when we last played: viewtopic.php?t=85074&f=2&st=0&sk=t&sd= ... er_sort=Go

and realized i'm seeing red because i'm still annoyed at her play in this game. so i'm gonna give myself a day to cool off there and get to this tonight. or just wait until i can read freedom. i'm probably not gonna see that day, but you never know.

scamper, corwin, alex, marci have pinged me scum at some points. i'll make an effort soon to try to determine what's going on here. wanna have a chat with scamper as soon as possible, though.

I kind of had some thoughts on Datisi but I guess I'll let scamper and corwin talk before I say them

W/crescent I do understand part of that read. I just am not feeling the whole mindmeld idea when it comes to the quality of someone's play. I guess it isn't a major point on its own, but like, sharing a distaste for Shoshin's play doesn't seem like it makes sense to be alignment indicative at all

Tbh the actual reason I wanted to post was so I can say radiant lobster would be an excellent hydra name

roden might be townie for 539. i don't think it makes sense for him to be trying to pocket me, it's not a read that will get townread by others, and it instinctively makes sense based on what he's seen from my games. (though i would warn against reads like that because i can be useless as scum too, but y'know. he's town for it.)

I mean given that you were scumreading Roden earlier is there a reason you think scum wouldn't defend you? Like, while I tr Roden for other reasons I would expect typically ~1 scum to defend each wagon on town in a game of this size? And am surprised you don't expect the same

Oh I forgot to mention this but you also like publicly stated earlier that you got pocketed easily. I'm not sure why you said that in the first place given that you didn't think anyone here was aware of it, but given that you did in fact say that I am very surprised you don't suspect anyone might be trying to pocket you here.

"roden's reason for townreading me is townie" is about as deep as that goes. i don't think there's much value in pocketing a person half the game is scumreading. could he be scum putting up a front of defending me? sure. he's not locktown by any means. but i gotta start somewhere and i think his current reads offsets whatever i thought was scummy of him earlier (since he did explain it anyway) and it's more likely he's just town right now.

This is another one of those situations where I'm like "I don't know if this is a deep difference in how we view the game or a faked scum mindset"

Like I guess I just think it's natural for town who know they can get pocketed to be afraid of being pocketed and I don't think it's true that people who are seen as scummy never get pocketed and that Dats probably knows that
