Spoiler:

the role prevents making it possible for the recipient to win with you, not making another recipient win with you. So an invention of “make all other players werewolves” is a valid invention if not given to a werewolf. If said invention is given to two different town players, the individual inventions can’t make their recipient win with the inventor, but the other player’s invention can, neatly sidestepping the restriction of the role not being able to make its recipient win with the inventor by any means.

Hell, you could even add the insurance of the role only triggering on a specific event, such as a mafia inventor dying or on night 5. It also doesn’t have to be werewolves. We could all become furbies. And there’s nothing to stop it from hitting dead players with the alignment shift. The player offered the role could refuse, of course, but why would they?

Other than, yknow, this literally destroying the game.

There’s a reason I didn’t play this game from the start, and it’s not that I’m bad at mech.

Good luck herding people onto itenerants. That leaves Eiralox and Bingle. I might be okay with more pressure on ZZZX but otherwise

i'm happy with the game being slow because it's the most effective way to force scum into an even tighter corner

We actually play a game of mafia? I’m not gonna complain if people want to be done with this game, and it’s certainly better than just replacing out until TLich runs out of people to replace in, but it’s not really mafia at that point now is it?
