Newbie 1080 -- Game over

I did actually read up to page 9 or so, and was planning on completing my read through for tomorrow. One thing is certain, DBK was obvtown and anyone saying otherwise... well...

Also: Quill, not sure how NS will react, but usually not a good idea...

Damn. I was wondering why it was different.... I had figure that it was going from red to orange as suspicion went down, or that martini wasn't as scummy as the other two. Excellent, excellent idea.

Yeah, it probably was bad for Quil to do that. I hope that NS'll forgive him, since he's a newbie.

On a brighter note, I'm happy to see that no matter whether I lived or died this would still have been a town win (and a perfect one at that).

The day would've ended in, what, 5 hours at most and would just be one long string of vote tags if I were still alive. martini may have cc'd cop as a last effort, but it would just look too scummy.

Actually, I was planning on hardcore pressuring Plague tomorrow, just because it got ridiculous how good his reads were, then I noticed that I posted sometimes after he did. Wasn't sure really.

As far as I'm concerned, Quill wouldn't risk his reputation to come prancing around in here, unless he was 100% sure that the game was over.

You because of your waffling and going back and forth a lot. You were also really quick to shift from brundiscum to brundiobvtown when I didn't really see it.

Plague mainly for one comment made early D2 (hiraki isn't dead, hiraki is IC, therefore hiraki must be scum) then backing off when no one else followed.

The only time I waffled a little was the end of D2. I switched from Martini, Moon, DBK, and back to Martini.

I knew what I was doing.

That's horrendous. Not only did Plague state that he was probably wrong, he didn't back down because no one followed him.

If you're town and you're on a wagon by yourself, with no support. You have to think to yourself how useful you're being, and if this person is really scum. Because you're not town alone, and not everyone in the game is stupid, you're probably wrong and/or stupid. Therefore, taking a vote off is not scummy in anyway. Putting votes on? Well, that's where you get the good stuff.

like I said, I on;y read through page 8/9ish and only had cursory scum reads... the plague thing was because I have purposly left town IC's alive as scum in newbie games so that I could throw suspicion onto that fact.

I'm glad I learned this game. Perhaps I have what it takes to be an effective SE now.

Things I've learned this game:

- Don't mention lynching people in order to find more suspects, as it leads to rage.
- Make sure to let people finish reading what happened before hammering (that was just stupid on my part).
- When put under pressure, instead of complaining, keep scumhunting. It means you're more focused on finding the real culprit instead of staying alive.

I think it would be neat to have the newbies say what they've learned and, even though it might be a stretch, have the IC and SE's give tips on what could've been done to improve the game on both parts.
