Would the game benefit from each scum having a solitary daykill (for the entire game)? I think it's a lot simpler than the "each individual scum can only shoot one player per day". It also prevents a situation in say a 2 Goons, 0/1 Townie, 3/4 Mason endgame, where the two scum can chain-kill to victory.

This way, if a scum misses, they can only shoot a maximum of three masons (+1 for every other time they miss) throughout the game.

Do scum still suicide upon missing?

Well, yeah.

Although, upon reflection, it's probably unwise to limit scums shots. If they miss the first two times, two masons will never be able to be killed if they all claimed, which is a problem in a Nightless game with no other method of elimination.

Yeah the setup is fine as is.

When we missed our first shot, we already had 3 other masons dead so it was ok, but if mafia were to say miss their first shot, the game could quickly turn against them.

I was surprised when Socio launched that meta argument.
It was most un-Sociolike.

ESPECIALLY given the lack of parallels in play too. I got shot in that game for being too obvtown. = =

I doubt he would've gotten lynched though if not for Glowbus.

On top of that I think the whole mason thing is distracting - there are some shared mason and scum tells and it puts an amount of time pressure on what the town's doing (which lead to e.g. Socio getting lynched over Spy).

That quickhammer was fine. I mean obviously our socio read was wrong and I take responsibility there, but hammering scum before they can get off an NK in this setup is perfectly reasonable. Also it was CES, how is that anything but a town tell for him? Elli was being town!elli too based on my limited experience, you have more than me there though so hard for me to say.

@CES: That's exactly why VTs play such a vital role in this game.

Interactions with masons, such as the one Dram had, led to scum killing themselves on them.

Crazy's mason play didn't help at all
Nor did Gandalf's mason-slip

But those are more of a result on play rather than the setup itself.

Elli's play was not normal here.
But that was attributed to masonelli.

Which made it all the easier to push him D3.

Also quickhammering Socio was definately town motivated.

Although, you had Glowbus quickhammering in this game which made it APPEAR less pro-town on the surface.

Crazy game.

I really like this setup. This was my second time playing it. The first time was a town win in 3-person LYLO.

I don't know a whole lot about balance, but I think scum did play much better than town did in this game (myself included, of course.)

I don't understand the purpose of limiting the scum's kills. I could see this setup go without daytalk, too. (With the scum just being notified whenever somebody shoots.)
